APRIL THRU SEPTEMBER 09, PLUTO RX

Hi everyone,

I'm taking a break from posting here for a while. I'm a Scorpio and Pluto, the ruling planet of this sign, is currently stationing. It will turn retrograde on April 4th 2009 until September 11th, 2009. This is a perfect opportunity for all Scorpio's to review matters relating to their Self and their commitments; particularly those which involve the way they communicate, interact, express themselves or share their knowledge (Pluto in Scorpio's solar 3rd). Personally I know this is the ideal time for me to devote myself to writing my book and regenerating other projects.

Wherever you have Scorpio on the house cusp, the people, things, places etc which that house corresponds to, combined with the house which Pluto is currently transiting (Capricorn) will give you a clue as to what themes you need to merge together. Retrogrades indicate what you may need to review, return to, or 'finish off' at this time. Once done, you can then expect to re-emerge - somewhat like a butterfly from a cocoon - invigorated and transformed when the planet returns to forward motion in September and particularly when it re-crosses the 3 Capricorn location, right at the end of the year.

Remember too, we always have to leave something behind for something new to come into being.

Under any Pluto transit, we feel pressured to eliminate and release the old, outworn, outdated and obsolete in our lives. When Pluto is transiting retrograde, we are urged to let go of attitudes, thinking or communication patterns, security drives, rigid emotions; a time to undergo an internal form of house cleaning....

A MYSTICAL UNIVERSE

The late, great, Theosophist and Astrologer Alan Leo repeatedly used the phrase, Character is destiny i.e., As you think and act inwardly, so you attract and become.

When an actor or actress plays a part, the way we distinguish a good performance from a bad one is if it is utterly believable. This happens when the thespian merges their Self so utterly and completely into the role that they become the character they are portraying.

What I note is that in some, as yet, unexplained part of our reality, sometimes character reveals our destiny even when the character is an assumed one. This is extremely interesting to students of metaphysics because the whole premise of the efficacy of manifesting rests on a person's ability to assume the feeling of being, or having, something so completely, that it shows up in their life.

Incidentally, the words Self-efficacy is defined as a person’s perception of their ability to produce an effect or reach a goal.

So, what are we to make of the fact that Liam Neeson portrayed a bereaved husband in the film, Love Actually?* Or that he has already shot performances in the upcoming films "After Life" and "Five Minutes of Heaven," (neither of which are in distribution at this time).

We all know the phrase 'Art imitating life' but what is this phenomena? No one would ever want to be deemed responsible for attracting tragic events into their life and it's obviously not as simple as saying that if one plays a part then that precise destiny will befall you. That is patently wrong. You only have to think of some of the bizarre roles assumed in Sci-Fi films or thrillers - Anthony Hopkins won't suddenly be found eating human livers with fava beans and a nice Chianti like Hannibal Lechter.

That said, the roles one is drawn to, or invited to play as an actor/actress, may show some correlation to a repressed or unconscious side of the psyche. Maybe it is a case that we are all drawn to play out their greatest fears (or in some cases fantasies) at some level. Or perhaps to work through a role to prepare us for a later, real life event which, at some unconscious level, we know lies ahead. I am reminded here of the Professor who specialised in a very rare form of brain cancer and then died from this same disease herself.

No one knows what's really going on, but again metaphysicians/quantum physicists would say that the answer lies somewhere in the fact that every moment in time, has the quality of everything that will happen, has happened or will ever happen within it and that our Time/Space perceptions are illusory. So the fact that someone chooses some course of action at any given time can hold the outcome, just as astrology looks at the birth moment as describing the course of life.

There is a case to be made for this line of thinking for the 'synchronicity of life' is apparent all around us. Vanessa Redgrave ( Natasha's mother) was, in a few weeks time, due to reprise her role in the play 'The Year of Magical Thinking'. This is a story of bereavement and personal grief set around the real life personal loss of the play's writer, Joan Didion. who lost her daughter and husband. The daughter was in a coma in hospital and later died.

Reviews for the Broadway show which originally ran from 2007, told us that Didion found solace in "magical thinking," and was stunned by the realisation that "life changes in the instant".

The Redgrave family has been beset by drama both on and off the stage. Here is a brilliant article on Natasha and the family One that will be particularly interesting to astrologers wishing to know how the 'chart fitted the life'**.

There are many other cases of life imitating art; just a couple of very well known examples that spring to mind are the fact that Christopher Reeve had played a paralysed Police officer in the film Above Suspicion prior to becoming paralysed himself. Grace Kelly filmed The Swan in which she played a Princess. She then went on to marry Prince Rainier and become Princess Grace of Monaco.

The parallels are, therefore, not always negative. However, when a play or film come out where the actor or actress has an affair, becomes a parent, plays an alcoholic, is beareaved or faces some particularly emotionally charged event, it has been noticed that, in many cases, there is some issue around these themes playing out in their personal lives - or of those close to them. The 'law' of attraction, where like meets like, appears to be at work.

I'd be interested to hear of any examples you may have noted in this area over the years. I believe that discussing these subjects will help us to move closer to understanding more about how we may consciously, or unconsciously, collaborate with our fate.

This has appeared in many publications but in other papers, including The Independent, it says:

The reality TV star died with her mother Jackiey Budden at her side at her home in Upshire, Essex, at 3.14am on Mother's Day.

JEN/JOHN OFF/ON + Jade and Jack

So apparently Jen and John are off again. What's going on? Is it really the end?


I could give you one of those lengthy posts about the nature of the relationship between Aquarians (Jen) and Librans (John) and talk about how we astrologers look for signs of compatibility in personal charts (synastry) - and indeed it would all be very interesting. However, if we wish to zoom straight in and look solely at timing and the crux of the matter, I know of no better chart technique to do this than using the little known Coalescent system.

If you aren't sure what Coalescent charts are then here's a primer but suffice to say it is based on the system that I have the utmost respect for - harmonics.

Here is the chart for Jen and John with the transits on the outside wheel. The transits are set for last week when the latest break-up was announced. As you can see, Uranus, the planet of unpredictability, sudden breaks, surprises, shocks, perverse behaviour is conjoined to Mars in Pisces ( ignore house cusps as we don't have birth times). Mars in Pisces is the placement of will, action, activity and energy put into music, acting, imagery, photography, rumour, romance but also, if misdirected, into escapism - often through drink and drugs or just a sheer unwillingness to be defined in a role.

The transiting Sun was joined with Uranus conjunct C. Mars on the day of their latest break up, and the Full Moon also fell on this Mars 2 days before and Venus recently went retrograde. Click to enlarge.




There is undoubtedly an electrifying, exciting, nature to their relationship at this time but Mars/Uranus combinations are also the most volatile going. Unfortunately for these two lovebirds, due to retrograde motion of a few planets, and the ongoing Saturn/Uranus opposition, these transits guarantee it will remain incredibly unstable and unfathomable into 2010.

Without doubt though, even if we don't hear of it in the media, neither has totally walked away from the other - this is on/off, hot/cold and overall very exhausting for both if them.

You may be one of those asking, Why does 'poor Jen' have to suffer so much? Well we have to remember it is only the media who have labelled her as suffering. At some level she may enjoy the drama. The relationships we end up in are always characteristic of us, and our true nature. Jennifer Aniston is an actress, a dramatist; she plays roles. Does John Mayer see her for who she really is (his natal Moon/Neptune conjunction). Indeed can she separate herself from the characters she plays?

She filmed 'He's Just Not That Into You' (fun film, far better than Marley and Me) then went public with Mayer. Is Jen subconsciously setting herself up to re-enact the role she played in the film? She played the girlfriend of a guy who wouldn't marry her, so she reluctantly walked away. He saw the error of his ways and eventually proposed in true, storybook romantic fashion. Does she secretly hope that's what John Mayer will do?

Who's playing who?

Furthermore we must remember that Aquarians present a cool, collected friendly persona but they just don't do cool, uneventful relationships. With Leo on the solar 7th, it is extremely typical of Aquarians to get caught up in melodramatic love affairs and/or to seek a father figure. They can repeatedly attract partners who are 'showy' in some way or partners who draw attention to themselves and want to dominate the direction of the relationship. If she's used to being the star of every show, this can cause problems.

Mayer, meanwhile has his marriage partner shown by a Mars/Sun square. He 'get's off' on emotionally combative, feisty, passionate relationships. Is she playing too cool for him and his ideal?

I think Jennifer Aniston knows that John Mayer is' Just not that into her' at the moment. Certainly his body language always looks very revealing to me - she leans into him and he leans away - but we always attract what we most need to learn from. The fact that they got together, and then back together at all, plus this Uranus to Mars transit suggests to me that both have something left to work out. Although the tendency is to abruptly call a physical halt, cutting off from your feelings until you have learned what the lesson they are bringing you is, this is easier said than done.

Beyond all that, figures in the public eye and under great scrutiny by the masses, often play out roles from which the general population can learn. From Prince Charles and Brad Pitt we learned that it doesn't matter how lovely and 'nice' a woman may be - or be perceived to be - it is love that wins the mind and body over, every time. In the case of Jennifer's latest romantic problems we are again being shown that beauty, wealth and success matter not a jot. They are not an automatic passport to love, happiness and fulfillment.

FULL MOON MARCH 2009 & The Recession

The Full Moon occurs tonight at 02.38 GMT, 11th March 2009 at 20 Virgo/Pisces. This is a mutable axis. Mutable means flexible; not static; fluctuating; rhythmic; changing form, so the position of this lunation informs us that matters which correlate to the two signs are still in transition

Virgo is closely related to jobs and service industries including the armed forces, health care (servicing the needs of our body) shops ( serving the public) and trade unions (serving the rights of employees). Virgo and the 6th house describe what we do on a day to day basis - how we service the daily routine of our life on an individual basis.

Whilst Virgo is allied to serving in all its various forms, Pisces, its opposite sign, correlates to sacrifice, surrender and rescuing. It is more concerned with the overall picture than the detail. Pisces asks,'What can I give to others to make it better for us all?' Hence it is the sign of charitable concerns and the 'Sea of Oneness' where we let go ( surrender to the force) merge and recognise there is no separation - we are all like individual waves, differentiated parts of one source.

As both Virgo and Pisces relate to cadent houses in the astrological chart we are, for the most part, still looking at situations which are taking place in seclusion, behind closed doors or those that are in the final planning stage but will affect the collective. Even if we see no evidence of it yet, plans for assisting those who find themselves 'all at sea' or 'imprisoned' without a job, and missing the usual routine 'beat' to their daily life, will be well under way. It is in the subsequent signs of Aries/Libra, where these plans, decisions and ramifications of what occurs around this lunation will become apparent.

Sometimes companies have to sacrifice some employees in order to keep a company afloat. This would be a particularly Virgo/Pisces decision-making process, as attending to the detail may save the health (Virgo) of the organisation overall (Pisces). Whether employees, or those whom job losses affect, feel this has been done with any care, concern and compassion for their welfare will be a particular issue for many at this time.

The proximity of the lunation to the SA/UR opposition means that internal and external tensions are being ratcheted up, ever closer to breaking point and things ( good and bad) can happen suddenly, but it's also a time of imminent breakthroughs. Think of it like new shoots struggling to make their way through the ground. Before winter turns to spring, we still can't see any visible effects - the ground may even appear dead and barren - but there's a tremendous amount of energy and effort taking place, out of view. One day, where there was nothing, a sign of growth will suddenly appear, or an idea will emerge, as if from nowhere.

This whole Virgo/Pisces theme is currently analogous to unemployment and the tensions around Governmental plans to shore up the economy and rescue failing banks and organisations. Many of us feel we are still very much in the dark about the bigger picture and we are desperate to see signs that all the behind the scenes efforts are working; we are looking for those 'green shoots'.

To continue with the analogy, the reality is that the original seeds were sown in soil that had become very unfertile. They had also been badly tended, therefore although there will still be slow growth, we do have to expect the loss of more jobs. Ultimately though, what is being birthed will also lead to a widespread (Pisces) redistribution (Virgo) of wealth, accountability and skills that will form a new global economic landscape ( Aries/Libra= Cardinal Cross and World Points).

In the personal sense, you may have an idea or a plan of action which you want to implement. You may be trying to organise your life along better lines. If so you need to harness the natural cycles of life and wait just a couple more weeks before taking any overt action. Gather information and listen to your instinct at this time. Seek out, or offer help to, others wherever you can because many will be feeling like they are on the edge of a breakdown. It's likely that some people can be saved from experiencing depression if they are taught to see the current downturn as just part of a greater cycle that is ultimately assisting them in their personal growth. This instantly eradicates feelings of powerlessness and futility, as hope is restored.

Quite simply put, if you are waiting for news or unsure of your direction at this time, the advice is to 'don't push it or force it, relax and let it be!' for just a little while longer. Trust! You don't doubt when the Sun goes down that it will rise again, why doubt that your life is governed by the same forces.

In the more ego driven personalities, where desire (or anger) rides roughshod over awareness of the need for rhythm and process, sadly the 'breakthrough' will be forced, the energies will become quite uncontainable and may suddenly be expressed quite violently or in 'revolutionary' ways. However, you don't have to become embroiled in the negative manifestations.

As mutable signs equate to the mental realms, it would be far better to think outside of the box and plan to do something quite different or unusual, than to allow the energy to become misdirected and 'sink' you.

If you are one of those who have been made redundant or are experiencing acute anxiety over the economic problems, spend the next two weeks working out ways to 'revolutionise' old ways of thinking and embrace a vision of how you want your life to shape up in coming months. Replace negativity with positivity at every juncture. What resources will you need to nurture the tender young shoots ( the idea) that you have in mind? Who do you need to connect with? What transferable skills do you possess which can be utilised to increase your income? Virgo lunations demand that you take practical action and formulate plans, so talk to someone. Seek out counselling, coaching or visit the multitude of self-help websites online that can assist you in finding a way forward - here's a great one.

If I can offer just one tip to restoring your financial wealth it is this: Do what you love and the money will follow. Make the act of service - the job - the priority and don't focus on the financial reward.

This Full Moon is aiding and abetting the current 'Shift' in consciousness. Losing a job is not a tragedy but an opportunity to take responsibility for your life direction and fulfillment and to get 'on purpose'. After the Equinox of 20th March and the New Moon of 26 March renewed hope will surface. With Venus Rx during this whole period, it may be prudent to revisit people, skills and/or financial plans that you had shelved or had previously considered but dismissed - they may prove to be a hidden goldmine. Many people will feel compelled to give up (Rx) on luxuries (Venus) but that exacerbates the overall (Pisces) problem inherent in a recession as it can lead to deflation

Far better then to use this Full Moon to refuse to feel like a victim of a recession and review (Rx) ways to increase income rather than decrease spending!

At the top of the page is the ACG Map for the lunation. Remember with these maps the lines show where planets come to angularity. Angularity is associated with the 4th harmonic (divisions of the circle by 4) and concrete manifestation. Physical events and news will most likely emanate from these areas in the days preceeding the lunation and the two weeks afterwards. The lunations also mark areas that become sensitised to subsequent transits of planets to 20 mutables ( i.e., 20 +/- 2 degrees Virgo Pisces, Gemini, Sag) setting up an harmonic resonance.

If you look at the map you will see the blue arrow pointing to the Pluto line, correctly pinpointing the breakdown in law and order with regards to the drug war (Pisces) escalating in Tijuana Mexico.

Also highlighted is Pakistan and the Afghanistan border and there's a particularly difficult confluence of activity over Japan with Pluto setting while the lunation straddles the MC and IC. Planets on the IC often relate to earth related events, so it may be something to do with the Kyoto Protocol but earth tremors are an obvious possibility. When the Sun is in Pisces, under-sea quakes which produce tsunami's are more likely along that entire longitude. Speaking of under-sea activity these lines also straddle the area where dozens of whales beached themselves in Tasmania last week.

Also highlighted is Rio in Brazil, the UAE and Iran and the Middle East and once again we have Pluto ascending through Lisbon.

THE MESSAGE IS GETTING LOUDER

I've written before about the rise in the number of Futurists - people who try and predict upcoming social and economic trends. Dmitry Orlov is not a fully fledged futurist, in fact he's a software engineer, but if someone becomes an engineer astrologers know they are naturally attuned to being prescient. This is due to the correlations of this type of work to the planet Uranus, which was discovered at the time of the Industrial Revolution and whose cycles coincide with the technological revolution that birthed the Internet. Uranus always seems to connect one to be able to receive 'information from the future'.

Anyway Dmitry is garnering the attention of futurists the world over due to his 'insight' over the parallels between the collapse of the Soviet Union and the now full blown economic crisis in the USA which, arguably, triggered the global meltdown. He has been 'shouting' out for over a decade now about the possibility of the social and economic collapse of the USA. The message is certainly getting louder but we also have to ask, is it true?

The person who alerted me to Dmitry did so in the context of enquiring if the astrology supported such a dire view of a collapse of the USA.

The answer is yes and no.

Firstly cycles do repeat but never in exactly the same way. One has to see cycles as being like a spiral. We may come back to revisit a situation, but we will always do so one level higher than before. It's almost as if we say, 'Okay I recognise this, I've been here before' but what you learned the previous time ensures that the outcome this time is different as you are looking at it from a slightly higher perspective. In global terms, a cycle repeats but the actions of the people participating in it, and the level from which they perceive the problem will have a great impact on the outcome. So the more enlightened people are about a positive, possible future the more they can raise themselves up to look at it from a 'higher' perspective and avoid the previous problems. Forewarned is forearmed.

Astrologically the Jupiter/Neptune/ Chiron conjunction of this year could point to massive collapse of the economy, currencies and maybe even countries ( Astrologer Christeen Skinner is another prescient 'Uranian' who discussed all this years ago and wrote about it in her book The Financial Universe). The same Jupiter/Neptune associated with collapse can however, also give rise to hugely inflated fears travelling throughout the collective, fuelled by misinformed networks and groups (AQ) and even astrologers, (Christeen excluded!). So it's important that we don't all get swept off in a wave of fear and unwittingly bring about that which we are trying to avoid.

What I personally note is the transit of Saturn into Libra later in the year. This can bring about a reform of the structure of society via collaborative efforts. We can all get serious (SA) about co-operating with each other (Libra) in order for the good of the whole. This will involve huge restructuring of the Legal/Judicial system (Libra) too, but right action ( SA) allied with right thought (air sign) can bring about change.

To this end my eye was drawn to the 'manifesto' of a network of futurists called The Foresight Network. It says:

The network's goals are to help members listen and learn from each other, anticipate change, explore next practice, find new opportunities to collaborate and to co-create the future.

It always amuses me that futurists have no idea how closely allied their work is to that of astrologers. One of the posts I see up on this site at the moment is Looking 7 years forward, looking 7 years back. Seven years is of course one sub-cycle of the 28 year Saturn cycle and Uranus has an 84 year cycle which is 12 periods of 7 years. Shaping Tomorrow would be a Saturn (shaping/structuring) theme while Tomorrow is a Uranian theme (Uranus = future) so they are bang on 'trend' in choosing this name when we are in a continuing Saturn/Uranus opposition cycle during 2008-2010.

What's the upshot then? Well. if the message 'is getting louder' we will all eventually hear someone's take on it. However, in my mind it should not be heard as a clarion call for us all to bunker down or head for the hills . That will energise a wave of panic. Rather it is that as a co-operative - a 'global family' of people and businesses, formed along the premise of: benefits that can be passed along for the good of everyone, we can and should 'collaborate with this fate' and actively begin to co-create ( Saturn in Libra) a better future.

Don't look to the Governments to 'fix' your future. You may feel that you are a victim and resent having to clean up someone else's mess but, to paraphrase Goethe if we 'all sweep in front of our own front door, soon the whole world will be clean'. Do what you can to bring change to your world and don't wait for it to come to you. Check out the Co-ops. and alternative power sources (Uranus also moves to the sign of Aries in 2010).

This is the way forward and my bet for the single biggest trend for 2010.

JUST STIRRING UP A LITTLE CONTROVERSY/DEBATE!

The Sun is still in the sign associated with the oceans and mysteries, Pisces, so perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised that the recent 'Atlantis Discovery' story refuses to go away. It has, of course, been totally refuted. However, such was the interest of Joe Public in this story that, after the initial denial from a representative, Google asked two of the scientists who collect the undersea data to put their side of the story. It appears here under the title Atlantis? No it Atlant-isn't .

Meanwhile I've received a few messages from the couple who made the initial discovery - Cynthia and Larkin Jones. There was a dispute over who had first noticed the apparent seafloor anomalies - the Joneses or Bernie Bamford - and this is what Larkin Jones had to say on the matter. It's a touching letter and I'm sharing this dialogue because I feel compassion for them, if they have been wronged by Mr Bamford, and for all the wasted effort. How would you feel if you thought you had made the discovery of a lifetime only to have your hopes cruelly dashed and ridiculed!?

Dear Kathryn.. We have the documentation that gives a chronological dateline from the point of discovery, to the establishment of our website live on the Internet. This all predates Mr. Bamford's claim to finding this anomaly and clearly establishes our claim.

I'm 54, retired from the U.S. Air Force and served as an Air Traffic Control Radar Technician. During my time in the military, I observed many strange radar and meteorological phenomenon. It was this life's experience, that sparked my interest in researching those things which most people never seem to notice. I guess you could say that this, was the first step towards making this Google Earth find... but Cynthia is by far the best discovery of my life. ( AHHHH, isn't that lovely- it moved me. K)

Kathryn, we don't have a problem with you using any of our correspondence, just please correct our typing errors. (lol) After the many hours spent learning how to build a web-page so that we could invite the world to explore our find, it's rather disappointing to see someone else get the credit for it's discovery. Though it is possible that many people may have run across this image on Google Earth, our research showed that nobody at our time of discovery were aware of this anomaly.

Seems like Larkin, out of everyone should know what Sonar can and can't pick up then - eh?. Here's the next letter:

Kathryn. You had it right when you wrote this statement "Anyway, Google is saying that what can be seen on their maps is nothing more than a remnant of the map making process itself, whilst those who love a good conspiracy are insisting that Google's denial is a little fishy!" And now the the U.S. Navy has set-in on this downplay of this sea floor anomaly... WHY? The Navy story is that this strange anomaly is nothing more than sonar echo-sounding integrated with computer data to produce the graphic image seen on Google. If they were just testing their sonar's abilities, why would the U.S. Navy travel all the way to this spot to test their equipment... sounds a whole lot fishy!

The truth is out there. Why is there so much downplay of this site and it's discovery... Could it possibly be that this site lay within an area that might be used for HIGH LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE DISPOSAL? This ancient grid discovery is real and not the results of inherent sonar imagery problems.

Kathryn, I thought that you might interested in seeing just how fishy things might really be.

I have found some interesting information on the radioactive waste issue. Here is the link to that info.

On the second page (pg.#48) of the article posted on this site, it shows a map. If you look at the west coast of Africa, the second dot west of the coast sits almost directly over the ancient grid site. I think this may explain the U.S. Navy's interest in this whole thing.

The comet should now be visible, wherever you are located on Earth, thru the night. It is in the astrological sign of Virgo, (on the edge of the constellations Leo and Virgo) Closest planet is Saturn on the 24th and it then streaks on to oppose the Sun (remember it is travelling in the opposite direction to the planets) and will align with Fixed star Regulus on the 28th Feb. Is Lulin ushering in a New Age - a new 'wave' of consciousness or should we continue looking to events at sea or with water in coming days, weeks and months?

NASA say the comet "is shedding nearly 800 gallons of water each second." Comets are also said to shed dust and gases in their wake. One earthbound correlation is the freak dust storms that have occurred in Kuwait and Doha this month, plus the appearance of many separate meteors. I wrote about the Texan one. Here's another from this month, around the time of the dust storm, in Hawaii and still more have been reported across the globe.

Look out for more sky rocks plus sudden flashes of inspiration/intuition or telepathy arriving 'out of nowhere' this week!

SATURN'S MOONS
Another big sky event today ( 24th) is the quadruple transit of Saturn's Moons. Watch the animation here Transits like these are rare. "They only happen every 14 to 15 years when the orbits of Saturn's moons are nearly edge-on to Earth," say Nasa experts.

The event starts at 10:54 UT (2:54 a.m. PST) when Titan's circular shadow falls across Saturn's cloudtops. About forty minutes later, the ruddy disk of Titan itself moves over the clouds.

ARE YOU ON THE ATLANTIS WAVELENGTH?

So the synchronicities continue: I 'happened' across the Donnelly book about Comets and mentioned it in my last post, and then, within days, Donnelly's name and another of his books was suddenly becoming a web-wide talking point. Why? Which book? Well he also penned: (read it here) Atlantis, the Antediluvian World and unless you have been off the planet for the last week, you can't fail to have heard the story about the 'apparent' discovery of Atlantis. (Catch up here if this story has eluded you)

Anyway, Google are saying that what can be seen on their maps is nothing more than a remnant of the map making process itself, whilst those who love a good conspiracy are insisting that Google's denial is a little fishy!

What does the great mirror in the sky tell us? Well the Sun has moved into the sign ruled by the God of the sea, Neptune, which is associated with mysteries, whilst the planet Uranus is also in the same sign - Pisces. This points to an overall focus around extraordinary discoveries associated with the Ocean and indeed anything water related, so I'm not surprised this story is picking up speed now.

Uranus in Pisces, however, also relates to waves of the water or light(wave) variety.

News of the find may only have broken worldwide in recent days but according to this site, Larkin and Cynthia Jones first spotted 'Atlantis' one month ago on 22 January 2009. Meanwhile a Mr Bernie Bamford from Chester, UK got his 15 minutes of fame from this by calling The Sun newspaper and claiming he was the one who spotted it on Google. I'll let them slog out who should take the credit for the discovery, although in this astrological climate it is entirely possible they both happened across it separately as the speed of information exchange in the collective unconscious is increasing in line with the information and networking explosion that we are consciously aware of.

If I've lost you there, it's really a difficult subject to broach (as is Jade Goody's plight but I'll try and give an alternative viewpoint on that too, soon) but, suffice to say, if you believe that your thoughts emanate from your brain; inside your skull, and are not broadcast to anyone else, you need to think again. Your brain is just the hardware, your thoughts are the software you choose to use and the information is coming to you ( and going out from you) wirelessly! As a general rule of thumb, although this requires further explanation, what you focus on is what you'll pull in and vice versa. That's the Law of Attraction at work.

Therefore any number of people can pull in the same information from the Mind out there and one person happening upon something on Google can transmit their discovery to someone else on the same vibrational wavelength, either instantly or when they come into alignment with them - making it appear that a coincidence, synchronicity or even a bit of plagiarism has taken place.

Where astrology comes in for helping one to 'collaborate with fate' is it can help us to make sense of the different energetic exchanges at work. For example someone with their Moon in Taurus is more likely to connect more easily to someone who was born when their Sun was in Taurus or perhaps with someone who's Venus was in Cancer at birth, than they are to resonate to someone who has Venus in Leo.

Likewise when transiting planets are congregating in the sign of Aquarius, as they are now, those receptive to Aquarian related events, places, people etc will receive and transmit them more easily and therefore also find themselves more readily mixed up in events of a nature that corresponds to their birthchart placings.

In essence then, Astrology is just like a version of The Radio Times - a magazine that lists the frequencies and timings one needs to be informed about in order to tune into the programmes of their choice.

So, what's with the sudden appearance of Donnelly in my life twice in one week? Is it a synchronicity? Well, synchronicity is just another word for alignment of frequency/wavelength.

I have now gone and located his birthdata and unsurprisingly ( to me) Donnelly and I have multiple natal planets in common and we both have progressions in our birthcharts (his is valid even after death) bringing us into an alignment at this precise time. Over and beyond my personal involvement with his work these last weeks, we note that the transiting planets of this time (for all of us) are aligning with his birthchart, bringing his name to public attention once again.

He is effectively just starting, as we all are, a new Mars/Jupiter cycle at this time, as Mars is exactly conjoined to his birth Jupiter as I write. Also, in this case the transiting planet is Jupiter - the planet of publishing - and it is transiting his natal Uranus, the planet of unusual or generally left field, heretical( and, it must be said, sometimes just downright weird and loopy) information.

Was Ignatius Donnelly correctly interpreting the works of Plato and did he really believe in the existence of Atlantis? In his own reality, yes. And here again we go off into the realms of the weird and wonderful.......

In the perfection and order of the Universe, it may yet transpire that we are all, as a collective, meant to be questioning the existence of lost worlds and we are being alerted to previous times of cataclysms in nature as part of our unfolding purpose and evolution. Or, it may, one day, become apparent that we have cranked up the 'end of the world is nigh, there must be something beyond this' vibration to such a level that we are all attracting stories of this ilk and being brought back into resonance with the works of those who at one time emitted this vibration (and therefore, at some level and plane of existence still are).

If anyone knew what was really going on we'd have the secret of existence in our palm. All I know is that, via astrology, we can perceive the unity in all things.

I'll leave you to ponder the charts. This one shows today on the outside against Donnelly's birthchart in the middle wheel. The picture at the top shows where Donnelly thought Atlantis would be found - near the Azores and Canary Islands!

FIREBALL OVER TEXAS & Lulin

Here's the Astro map for the sighting of the fireball which was seen streaking over Texas on Sunday morning ( 15 Feb 2009, 11am, Austin) and is thought to have plummeted to the ground somewhere in Northern Texas. I guess if anyone out there in Texas is interested in locating a possible impact point, the best place to start hunting would be under the ACG lines +/- 50 miles either side. Especially where the white arrows are pointing to the intersection of the horizontal and vertical lines.

There are various confusing reports across the web as to whether this was remnants of the recent satellite collision but 'experts' appear to be confirming it was a meteor. In which case this can be chalked up as another 'spooky' coincidence for me because, whilst searching for something completely unrelated, last week ( 11/02), I came across this:

In the year 1871, on Sunday, the 8th of October, at half past nine o'clock in the evening, events occurred which attracted the attention of the whole world, which caused the death of hundreds of human beings, and the destruction of millions of property, and which involved three different States of the Union in the wildest alarm and terror.

The summer of 1871 had been excessively dry; the moisture seemed to be evaporated out of the air; and on the Sunday above named the atmospheric conditions all through the Northwest were of the most peculiar character. The writer was living at the time in Minnesota, hundreds of miles from the scene of the disasters, and he can never forget the condition of things. There was a parched, combustible, inflammable, furnace-like feeling in the air, that was really alarming. It felt as if there were needed but a match, a spark, to cause a world-wide explosion. It was weird and unnatural. I have never seen nor felt anything like it before or since. Those who experienced it will bear me out in these statements.

At that hour, half past nine o'clock in the evening, at apparently the same moment, at points hundreds of miles apart, in three different States, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois, fires of the most peculiar and devastating kind broke out, so far as we know, by spontaneous combustion.

Now the weather in these 3 U.S. states or Texas at present is far from unusually dry and combustible, and no one has been killed, but the reason that I sat up and took notice of what I was reading was due to the remarkable coincidence of the writers description of the fires to those stories that were coming out of Victoria, Australia regarding their bushfires. Many in Victoria were astounded by the speed of the fires and reported them as travelling like tornadoes of fire and here's what I was reading in what I had stumbled across:

It was no ordinary fire. I quote:

"At sundown there was a lull in the wind and comparative stillness. For two hours there were no signs of danger; but at a few minutes after nine o'clock, and by a singular coincidence, precisely the time at which the Chicago fire commenced, the people of the village heard a terrible roar. It was that of a tornado, crushing through the forests. Instantly the heavens were illuminated with a terrible glare. The sky, which had been so dark a moment before, burst into clouds of flame.

Some of you may recognise this text. It turns out I had landed on a page, mid-book, and I was reading Ragnarok - the Age of Fire & Gravel. A controversial tome written in 1883 by Ignatius Donnelly. The page I had happened upon was about Biela's Comet but the whole book is about comet/meteor impacts on Earth throughout history.

Ok, so you are thinking, what's this got to do with a meteor over Texas? Well, it seems that it was pure coincidence about the awful accounts coming from Oz, as many are suspected of being caused by arson. However the appearance of this Texan meteor has 'rekindled' my interest in what I was reading because the book goes on to recount how the author believes that Earth was passing through debris associated with Beila's Comet and that the unusual atmospheric, tinderbox, conditions in 1871 were related to the comet. Indeed he seems to propose that the great conflagration was caused by fragments of rock, in the wake of the comet's tail, falling to Earth.

This made my mind leap to the fact that up in the sky at this time we have Comet Lulin, just days away from making it's closest pass to Earth. My train of thought now therefore, is - is this latest meteor sighting related to Comet Lulin? Additionally, it has to be asked, are the unusual atmospheric conditions down-under in Australia related to the fact that we have a Comet or maybe vice versa; do we have a Comet ( and recently more bright and unexpected ones than normal) due to peculiar changes in the electromagnetic fields in the atmosphere, (which are coincident with a new Sunspot cycle which peaks in 2011/12)?

I'm loathe to continue this line of reasoning because patently the last thing I am is an Astrophysicist or meteorologist BUT, in my experience, when I am led to these things entirely by accident they are usually something to take note of. So, if you feel so inclined, drop me a line if you have knowledge of whether Lulin and the meteor ( and/or dry conditions in Oz) could be related and I'll report back here on this site.

and the chart for the 1871 event. Tr Saturn trine Pluto. Tr Pluto conjunct Saturn. This makes the Saturn/Pluto paran on Sunday's ACG map look more than interesting!

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

It won't bring back those who perished in the Victoria bush fires, or indeed any tragedy, but while you still have life, it's true to say that all you need is love. It is love and compassion for the people ( and animals) who are suffering which will translate into the spiritual sustenance and material things that will rebuild shattered nerves, lives and dreams.

I just received a very moving message from a reader in Australia, a part of which reads:

The morale here is unbelievable with donations exceeding anyone's expectation's with major food retailers donating 3 - 5million and people in droves providing housing to families devastated. Over 100 million has been raised and the community feeling is heartfelt. I have never felt closer to the earth we live on and the generosity of Australians at this moment makes your eyes swell and if people don't have money to donate they are giving blood.

The brushfires are still intense and temperatures are set to soar on the weekend.. We pray for rain but should we not get any the spirit to put them out is strong. - Kelly

Whilst we are on the subject of love; over on my Cosmic Cipher blog I recently posted a piece about The Seven Senses. It touches on something in there which I have long known as truth but, sadly, sometimes gets buried under the weight of everyday life. So, this is a timely reminder, not only to myself, but to all those reading.

The same is obviously true in reverse between a woman and man.

So, are you worried that you haven't got someone the perfect Valentine's present? Have you put on a few excess pounds? Worried that you don't own the perfect dress or suit for a romantic night out? Low on funds for celebration? None of this really matters a jot compared to how you connect to the heart of the person you desire this weekend - and every single day of your life together.

Feelings are all. Moreover if you don't feel good about yourself, you'll only attract someone of the same vibrational match. Therefore, the time you invest in understanding your own feelings will always pay off handsomely.

THE CHIRON ECLIPSE & Victoria fires

Could astrology have predicted the devastating bush fires in Australia and in some way have helped to avert the terrible death toll? I really don't believe that - at present - it is possible. Both of the AstroCartoGraphy charts ( Celestial and Geodetic) for today's Lunar penumbral eclipse do show that the focus of what is being dubbed ' The Chiron Eclipse' fall right in the vicinity of the fires. However, to pinpoint this location, on these longitudinal lines (which also run around the globe through many other countries) as being the location of fires per se, would be like finding a needle in a haystack and indeed knowing it was a needle you were looking for in the first place.

That said, other charts have already pinpointed the fact that Australia was becoming a location to watch for concrete manifestations of celestial activity in '09 ( see my previous posts on Australia) and this area in the state of Victoria has been particularly 'active' in all recent maps. So if someone could devise some sort of computer programme that would pinpoint locations that are getting repeated astrological activity ( from charts of leaders, towns etc, as well as maps) it may be possible in the future to pin down certain areas of specific countries and note windows of time when particular astrological correspondences are more likely to manifest. In that way it may not be a precise prediction but some warning of 'heightened activity' could be given.

For example, the map at the top of the page is of the precise GMT time of the SA/UR opposition. On these maps we look for where Saturn and Uranus come to angularity as angularity is associated with the 4th harmonic and concrete (physical) manifestation. In this map you see that they came to angularity in the precise area of the fires.

Here is the relocated chart, so that you can see Saturn and Uranus angular i.e on the ASC/DESC angles at this location, Bendigo. Angularity in cycle charts means that something of the nature of SA/UR was likely to occur in this general area of the world in the days immediately before, after or on, the opposition of 5th Feb.

This map below shows today's eclipse, see Blue Sun/Chiron and Yellow Moon lines showing the Full Moon down through Australia. This pinpoints this location as being 'emotionally charged' and coming to public attention:




Additionally, there is much planetary activity affecting Kevin Rudd's chart. Today's eclipse is with his natal Moon and the tr Nodes are with his natal Uranus, so the fact that he would be entering a phase, or in the immediate aftermath, of unexpected and sudden, highly emotional events, that may have an effect on his own personal destiny, could be studied in more detail. Cross referencing his transits with many other charts and maps, in advance, could have given us clues as to locations where his transits would find expression on Earth. As he is the 'representative' of Australia what affects him affects the country and vice versa. This is such an unexplored area of astrology that is just crying out for more data input and collation.

I can't add too many maps or the post won't load but in many recent ones, we now see in retrospect, the maps did home in on this location. Also the inclusion of Chiron in this eclipse - it is exactly conjoined to the Sun, points to a major wounding of the global psyche at the locations where the eclipse is angular - and that was in this area.

Chiron transits are well documented as being associated with events that wound (or by polarity heal us, in some way). Chiron transits also relate to the following* Major moves or relocation, spouse leaving or leaving a spouse. Death of someone close, traumatic experiences ( I'll add further delineations, which won't apply to this event, at the bottom of the page).

It would take pages of space to tell non astrologers what all the lines on the maps correspond to, but astrologers will, for sure, take one look at these planetary lines and go 'Oh gosh!'. The 'manifestation' could have taken many different forms, on many different planes - that is they are not always physical - but, as I say, when you pile them up, i.e., you also look at other charts and cross reference them all we can guess something is afoot.

Again, if you are not an astrologer you won't realise the incredible nature of these maps so please take it from me that the chances of these particular planetary lines being in the location of where the fires occurred is slim. The fact that a few lines are an inch or so away from precise locations, in some of the maps, is of no consequence when we are looking at such vast distances.

Finally here are the maps for the Solar eclipses of Jan 2009. This first one is celestial ACG. Where there is a line means that the planet in question, or the midpoint of 2 planets, will be on the angle of the chart for that locationThis one is Geodetic (mundane) . In these maps the lines don't move very fast, so the influence noted is more long term depending on the relative speed of the planet being studied. For example, the Sun will move approx one degree every day, apparently moving around the globe in one year, but outer planets will move far more slowly.The chances of the SA/UR cycle plus the eclipses falling through the same country, yet alone within a small radius of a certain place on the globe where a major event occurs is beyond coincidence. We really need people with the scientific and mathematical skills to take the 'As above, So below' correlations of the planets more seriously and produce statistical data and 'astrological weather' forecasts that will make the general populace sit up and take notice.

What also needs further study is the fact that eclipses that are still some way into the future seem to cast their influence back into the past. Take a look at the central total Solar Eclipse chart for 22 July 2009. Yet again it seems to highlight this precise area and why this should be needs further, thorough investigation.


One other place where, I have mentioned before, I have been noticing a build up of planetary activity is Portugal - especially around Lisbon and that longitude. Corresponding lines for that location would fall 180 degrees away in New Zealand and up to the Pacific Rim. The event, if one occurs, in both locations is likely to be of the nature of Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron - the trick is to determine in advance what, out of all the possible manifestations of these 3 planets that 'event' is likely to be - it could also be several and certainly doesn't have to be negative.

This aspect is associated with wounding or healing around communism which links into negotiations over the Lisbon Treaty. It's also associated with the Religious fervour, The Great Depression, floods, cyclones, tsunami's, snow, national health and many other things which is why we need some kind of focused study of these likely manifestations.

Finally then, please note that none of these maps are of the time of the fires. They are maps that point to an event, in this location, triggered by the eclipses.

TITBITS OF ASTRO INFO - you won't want to miss

I've got a round-up of info for you with this post - which is perhaps an easier format for both of us. It saves you having to wade through a lengthy, one topic, article and allows me to convey all the titbits I have come across in recent days.

First off then; Valentines day is looming. I was interested to read that on February 14th, a few minutes after sunrise GMT, the Moon is in the seventh house (and in the sign of relationships, Libra) as Jupiter aligns with Mars (and the North Node). Could this be the 'Dawning of the age of Aquarius'?

Okay, I know Jupiter and Mars meet every few years and have met in Aquarius before, with Moon in Libra and/or the 7th house BUT Moon in Libra (7th) with Mars and Jupiter in AQ has happened only a couple of times since the 60's (18 Jan '98) and never with this heavy Aquarian line up and s0 close after Leo/Aquarius eclipses (next one 9th Feb) and a Saturn/Uranus line up (5th Feb).

Remember too Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, is the sign of 'Awakening' and the realisation of possession of an individuated consciousness (UR) in an earthbound vehicle - the body (SA).

Plus, Comet Lulin is brightening overhead. Add in the fact that we are being catapulted towards the start of two new cycles - the JU/NE and JU/UR and that seems like quite a few hallmarks of a new 'Aquarian' era to me. Many thanks to Dr Jude Currivan PhD for pointing out the alignment of the 14th Feb. She says (with relation to the nodes being reversed but close to JU and MA in AQ in 1962):

In 1962 we essentially took a collective in-breath of possibility and now with the cosmic support of the Aquarian alignment of 14th February 2009 we are able to take the out-breath and make it happen.

I'm noticing a lot of ACG lines accumulating around Lisbon and up and down that line of longitude, so up into Western Ireland and down to Morocco and Western Africa. This may be related to ongoing negotiations pertaining to The Lisbon Treaty but it may not. Eyes and ears peeled over the next few weeks for any events in these areas, possibly related to SA/UR - breakdowns, breakthroughs, rebellion, unexpected etc

In my last post I mentioned that I thought things would start appearing relating to magnetism. I must be tuned in at the moment because within a day of writing that Hay House sent me advice of a new book and in the review for the book it says:

The world exists in a constant state of flow, and your consciousness can shift in the blink of an eye.

Hot on the heels of that popping into my inbox I was 'coincidentally' led to i.e., I wasn't consciously seeking them out, numerous articles on Magnetism including a fascinating treatise from the 'New Thought' era on how to use personal magnetism to bend people to your will*. Hmmm, I'm not sure about this but I'll give you the details in my next newsletter, where I'll also let you know how I get on putting the principles into practice over the next few weeks. I'm a pretty competent manifester but can I bend people to my will? We'll see ;-)

What this latest series of syncronicities suggests to me is that, yet again we can see that astrology may not be brilliant at straightforward prediction per se but it's excellent for pinpointing an idea, or theme, whose time has come - or is arriving.

I totally agree, which is why I wrote it in a tongue in cheek manner, but the possibility remains that if we can alter our personal magnetism it may affect who we are able to more readily attract or repel. There's something to be investigated here.
