Italy Hit by Torrential Rain; Rome Declares Emergency

Dec. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Italy is being hit by extreme weather, as the heaviest rains in more than a century flood cities up and down the peninsula, drowning Venice’s St. Mark’s Square and Rome’s cobbled medieval streets.
The city of Rome declared a state of emergency today after a woman died while trapped in a car in a flooded underpass. Almost a quarter of Venice is under water amid the highest tides in 22 years. Record snowfall on Sicily’s Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano, has left eight Boy Scouts stranded on the mountain.

Meanwhile Athens has been enduring its seventh day of riots and trouble has been spreading across Europe:
Suspected anarchist protests which have dogged Greece for the last week spread outside the country today, with mobs causing violent scenes in Italy, Spain, Russia, Denmark and Turkey.
Greek diplomatic missions were vandalised in the attacks, while police, local authority and media representatives were also targeted in what appeared a co-ordinated escalation. Continue reading here
Rome and Greece were not highlighted by the Sun or Moon on the Full Moon ACG but Saturn IC is angular through Greece triggering the SA/UR opp and Pluto comes to the Desc through Italy. However the Eastern seaboard USA and Venezuela does have the Full Moon angular and news from there reads:

CARACAS -- Caracas was hit by yet another citywide black-out shortly before 4:00 in the afternoon on Thursday. It was the fourth major power cut this year so far, in a country with massive energy resources.
The power outage was caused by a "section gap" in the Santa Teresa circuit, in Miranda state, east of Caracas, said the state-owned company Electricidad de Caracas.
It also knocked out some telephone and internet service, including the office and industrial size servers of the internet edition of this paper.
National Grid Plc had about 470,000 customers in New York and New England out of service, a spokesman said, adding it could take several days to restore power to all in both regions.
That's the Mars/Saturn/Uranus factor in the cross that I was speaking of in previous posts.
To other news, Casey Anthony who has her natal Uranus triggered by today's cross has finally been rumbled as the skull of her poor little daughter, Caylee appears to have been located. One should be innocent until proven otherwise but her searching the Internet for subjects such as 'neck breaking' and trying to shift the blame to everyone else points rather heavily to one mightily sick young woman in Florida. Were her family involved? We're about to find out.

What do they all have in common - Illinois. And now we have the Rod Blagojevich story and the repeated use of the word 'corruption', so what's the trigger for all this? In one word, Pluto.
In everyday use Astrocartographers look at the celestial positions of the planets and where they come to angularity on Earth. The other way that we can use ACG however is symbolically. So, if we take the Greenwich Meridian as being 0 Aries and divide the face of the planet up into 12 equal divisions of 30 degrees, we find that 0 Capricorn falls.......... right through Illinois (and all points South and North of there)
Look for the bright red line. What's at 0 degrees Capricorn now? Answer:Pluto. Pluto will move slowly Eastwards over the course of the next 17 years only leaving America's shores for good by 2024.So Illinois and all points (States) east, that Pluto will transit over, are due for some big shifts and transformations in their power base and in' Capricornian' events, such as physical 'earth/weather' related events too. The key time to watch will be when it gets within orb of Washington DC around 2012- 2014!
At the moment we should look out to the right of the map, locate the violet line which is Uranus and note that it is now going direct so about to close in on the coast of Portugal. This will undoubtedly up-end or revolutionise the Lisbon Treaty and may yet bring news and even a sudden breakthrough (and eventually, hopefully, justice) for the other poor little missing child, Madeleine McCann. Uranus reaches Portugal in the next few months. Meanwhile Saturn goes Rx on 31st Dec so backtracks through Portugal (Sa/Ur opposition) and Texas.
See the white line through Houston? Follow it up through Middle America. Those are the locations that will be most affected by the economic downturn in the USA. Jan/Feb 2009 looks like a flashpoint for Houston and where that 'line' covers, sadly the effect will last ( for Portugal and Houston etc) into 2010, as Saturn and Uranus face off a few times in a relatively small sector of the sky.
