CONSPIRACY THEORIES - PART 3

So we lived to see another day! 2007 TU24 didn't come any closer than we had been informed it would, so NASA weren't in some giant collusion against humanity. What does the TU24.org site do now then? Shut down? Not a bit of it. Instead they have posted this "If you're wondering why nothing happened you're counting your chickens too soon". Meanwhile they are turning their attention to WD5 which is heading for Mars tomorrow. Yes folks we are living in a vertiable Asteroid Alley!

Seriously though 2007TU24 doesn't appear, at this point, to have triggered any catastrophic earth changes. However it is particularly cold in some regions and the picture above shows what are known as Nacreous Clouds. These only appear in unusually extreme climatic conditions. They require exceptionally low temperatures of minus 85 Celsius (-120 F) to form. Indeed we may even be able to claim that these space rocks have already, albeit indirectly, given us one big incident. One theory doing the rounds about the loss of power on flight BA038 is that the fuel had frozen in the tanks due to the in-flight temperatures dropping to extremely low levels and affecting the fuel systems - a syndrome known as fuel waxing. This is a hotly disputed and discussed topic and if you want to keep track of it there are plenty of sites discussing theories. I particularly like the name of this one; the Professional Pilots Rumour Network

Theories, whether deemed conspiracy based or not, are a part of the new global instant communication era that we are living in. As I said in my first post of this trilogy they are entertaining and compelling - but I do prefer to add a hefty dose of logic to my gut feelings. That's not to say that I dismiss them out of hand, or ridicule every one of them ( except for most of what David Icke writes). They - even him I suppose - have their place and this incredibly interesting article deserves a wider audience:-

"Conspiracy theory" is usually used as a pejorative label, meaning paranoid, nutty, marginal, and certainly untrue. The power of this pejorative is that it discounts a theory by attacking the motivations and mental competence of those who advocate the theory. In earlier eras other pejorative labels, such as "heresy," "witchery," and "communism" also worked like this. The charge of "conspiracy theory" is not so severe as these other labels, but in its way is many times worse. Heresy, witchcraft, and communism at least retain some sense of potency. They designate ideas to be feared. "Conspiracy theory" implies that the ideas and their advocates are simple-minded or insane.....

Those of you who have tuned in to read the promised post on the McCann abduction conspiracy theories are, I'm afraid, going to be disappointed. That post is going to have to remain in my drafts file. As some of you might know one of the best sources for the most outrageous claims and theories about what happened to Madeleine (The Mirror Forum) has been shut down. They cite the fact that some of the posts were so abusive they had no option. Of course the die hard 'theorists' believe that they are being silenced for getting too close to the truth. My logic tends to kick in and tell me that 'the lawyers' are watching. As hosts of the site the Mirror Newspaper* is ultimately responsible for what is transmitted and it's the same here with this, and indeed every, blog.

Although I might like to pontificate and link you in to some of the better theories a) I can't now do that as the pages have all now been removed and b) by repeating anything spurious in the public domain, every blogger runs the risk of being pursued by the Courts. As I now understand it, if the person about whom you are writing is a suspect in a case and they then get put on trial but acquitted through lack of evidence, they have the right to sue anyone who wrote anything apparently defamatory. If you post to forums anonymously they obviously can't do this but can, as mentioned, go after the site owner. Legal eagles correct me if I'm wrong.

I've never posted to the Mirror Forum but its 'Madeleine' thread will be sadly missed if only because every so often some super sleuth did unearth some fascinating facts and postulate some theories that were very worthy of proper investigation. Whether the people capable of conducting those investigations ever read them is doubtful - which is where bloggers came in as they usually reach a wider, less focused audience. Under different circumstances I would have brought some of these 'theories' to your attention.

In this highly charged case however things are different. Although I try never to post any tittle tattle or accusations based on heresay and all my comments have been, and will continue to be, purely from my personal astrological perspective, I have decided if I point any fingers in the wrong direction it could be extremely hurtful and maybe even costly. Therefore let's put this change of heart down to Mercury retrograde close to Neptune, wish the 3 arguido's well and start enjoying the life that 2007TU24 appears to have decided is too good to mess with or destroy. The one that poor Madeleine appears not to have had the same opportunity to enjoy.

CONSPIRACY THEORIES, PART TWO - 2007 TU24

Nothing like a bit of drama to liven up the start of a new week! Watch this video and if you can link in (the servers keep going down due to volume of traffic) visit www.TU24.org website or some of the other doomsday sites and you needn't wait until Tuesday to be involved in an extinction event, you can frighten yourself to death tonight!

Seriously though, Asteroid 2007 TU-24 is indeed due to make a relatively close pass to Earth on Jan 29th and, on this occasion, the logic that I am applying to various conspiracy theories in this series of posts would dictate that a body of 400m passing with 1.4 LD (LD means "Lunar Distance." 1 LD = 384,401 km, the distance between Earth and the Moon) could well have some affect on the 'space weather' surrounding the Earth. I'd rather hear from a bone fide NASA Scientist what the effects are likely to be vis a vis the various 'electrical' fields surrounding the Earth, than via a video on YouTube - but I guess no one really knows until it happens what the 'fall out' may be.

Looking at this event from the point of view of symbolism, the fact that Pluto - the planet associated with destructive events - has just passed into an Earth sign* on a World point of 0 Capricorn ( all the 0 cardinal signs are World points as anything crossing one will aspect them all by hard aspect) is, to say the least, very intriguing. Astrologers have long been predicting Earth changes like earthquakes etc., with the move of this planet. Additionally, as I have said before, Capricorn is the sign associated with rocks so maybe we will have to get used to more frequent 'bombardment from space by asteroids' scare stories for the next 17 years.

Is there anything interesting in the chart of 29th Jan 2008? Well apart from Pluto being at 0 Capricorn, I did raise an eyebrow slightly higher than normal when I saw that on the 29th the Sun is at the midpoint of Uranus and Pluto at 8 Aquarius. What does this mean? Well Uranus and Pluto with Sun are given by astrologer Ebertin, as: over excitement, a breakdown and a catastrophe.

I would also say these planets are prevalent when power outages and unusual events with technology, electricity and radiation occur. Uranus also impacts rhythms. Maybe, just maybe, this will jolt us all a bit. We would certainly expect to see this type of astrological correspondence when all the world's astronomers and scientists are studying something startling. The Sun in Aquarius brings the energy of Uranus and Pluto to a focal point on Earth connecting groups (Uranus) on the Internet discussing 'Force Majeure' (Pluto).

So can we say from astrological charts if 2007TU24 will impact Earth in any way? One possible source of information is for someone to look at all the previous recorded impact events and see if there is any astrological common denominator. For anyone so inclined, bearing in mind you have a very short window and there's not much you can do to save the planet in 2 days, there is a nice list of previous events here (scroll down to bottom of that link for a table).

What we can do here is look at the chart of the precisely timed 'Tunguska Event' which occurred at 7.17am (00hrs 17m. 11 secs UT) on 30 June 1908 in Tunguska, Siberia. This is the largest impact event in recent history. As we would expect the Geocentric chart for that event was 'loaded' to say the least. Take a look at this (click to enlarge) .......

6 Planets were in Cancer (a cardinal sign) opposed by Uranus (shocking events and the unexpected) in the Earth sign of Capricorn (rocks).

On the outside wheel of this chart are the positions of 29th Jan 2008 (Geocentric). While we have nothing as imbalanced as 1908 we do see that, as well as the midpoint configuration, the planet Mars on 29 Jan 2008 will be precisely conjoined to the Pluto position of 30 June 1908.

As with all events, when another of any similarity occurs there are always linkages between the two charts. With a line up like this, I think we will all live to see another day but none of us have ever lived through a Pluto in Capricorn era. It may be interesting to watch for corresponding Earth activity, such as earthquakes, storms, weather changes or some other non asteroid related note-worthy event for, as is always the case - As Above, So Below.

CONSPIRACY THEORIES - Part One

Before I begin writing this post I better just establish a benchmark: I personally believe that David Icke, to use a popular idiom, is several sandwiches short of a picnic. I even wonder from time to time if Stuart Wilde hasn't partaken of one too many hallucinogenic drugs when he trips off on some of his stories (and I like him). As for most of the conspiracy theories, I enjoy them as light entertainment as much as the next person but I don't lose sight of the fact they are rarely rooted in fact. In other words I don't believe I am easily taken in.

There are a couple of conspiracy theories doing the rounds now though that I believe deserve greater scrutiny. They need to be looked at through the lens of logic and also with an eye to symbolism. Let's start with the death of Princess Diana.

DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES.
In the months before her death Diana was pictured walking through a minefield, literally dodging the actual detonation of something that could erase her from public life. Symbolically then the parallels are clear - she was treading a dangerous path and she knew it.....

Diana may not have had a Mensa level IQ but this woman was very smart. So where one wonders was her brain in 1996/7? Did she enjoy stirring up dark forces with her Mars/Pluto conjunction? I ask this because logic dictates that if the Mother of the future King of England (in fact the two future Kings, because she produced an heir and and a spare) had sought advice - via Burrell - from a Clergyman about the possibility of her marrying a Muslim Doctor, Hasnat Khan, the situation wasn't just explosive, it was potentially catastrophic.

Then just when the Universe intervened to let her off the hook and out of the minefield - when Hasnat decided he couldn't continue with the relationship - what did she do? Did she go off and find some other suitable mate or walker to tide her over until her broken heart had mended? No, she perversely (Moon in Aquarius) decided to accept the invitation of Mr al-Fayed to join him and his playboy son Dodi for a summer break. It's a record of fact that she even tipped off the press to catch her draped all over Dodi, just happening to kiss him at a perfect angle for paparazzi lenses to capture.

Remember too if you will that in the late 1990's the establishment (Cap) had only just got over the slightly anarchist (UR) era and shocks from the Fergie toe-sucking saga. Now the shockwaves (UR) were starting to reverberate into politics (AQ) with Tony Blair's surprise rise to leadership and the demise of the long term power of the Conservatives. The 'old school' were losing control, a revolution was underway (UR in AQ). Additionally, if you are not British or are below an age to realise the significance of Diana's actions to those in halls of power, let me fill you in..... If Bill Clinton walked into a press conference Hillary was giving this week with a cigar in one hand, and his other hand on a gorgeous, youthful Democratic party intern's bum, whilst wearing a T-shirt saying 'Barack for President' you have an idea of the level of shockwaves Diana's actions caused to the British Establishment. Had she lost her mind? Was she trying to taunt Prince Charles and anyone she considered to be 'Westminster'? Fayed was already enemy numero uno to many of them in the late '90s as Mr al-Fayed himself openly admits (Born Mohamed Fayed he added the aristocratic prefix "al" to his name at the age of 45). With links to known arms dealers, he was deemed as far too controversial and new-money.

So why would anyone want to wipe out such a beautiful woman just because she was dabbling with an allegedly dodgy shop owners son and having such a public power struggle with a few old courtiers and grey suits? Well possibly because if Diana were to go on to have a half-muslim child (by Dodi or Hasnat) her son's, William and Harry, would then have a Muslim step brother or sister. This would cause implications to the future of the Monarchy because when a King or Queen is crowned in England, part of their Oath, as it stands at present, is to become Supreme Governor of the Church of England and Defender of the Faith. Whilst you and I realise we can and should live in a free society that embraces multiculturalism and interfaith marriages most of the 'Old School' still won't countenance it (or they wouldn't in 1997).

To this strata of snobbish elite - the 'Courtiers' who are often aristocratic men and women whose family ancestry formed the backbone of British Society throughout history - change is anathema. They would have been mortified. Were they going to be held to ransom and forced to change the Constitution by this woman who appeared to be suffering the equivalent of a Britney Spears type public meltdown as a result of her failed relationship with Hasnat? A woman who many of them dismissed as an airheaded, clothes horse. Were they heck! This time one can only deduce Diana had stepped squarely on a detonator.

So could the British Government have orchestrated the assassination because Diana, Princess of Wales, had become a loose canon? They would certainly have sworn allegiance to the Monarch and Country and be desirous of protecting both against any perceived threat and there can surely be little doubt that (to many) getting at Mohamed al-Fayed at the same time would be a bonus. However they can stand up in Court and say with all honesty that there was no government conspiracy. Why? Because.. (I quote) 'although the Security Service Act 1989 places the Security Service under the authority of the Secretary of State - in practice the Home Secretary - the Service operates independently of government'.

So was Diana killed off? Who knows? In August 1997 when rumours swirled of an impending announcement that would shock everyone, logic dictates that someone could have decided to act. Toxicology reports from driver Henri Paul do seem to support some kind of machinations as does the symbolic location of Diana's death i.e., underground. If my blog suddenly goes down or I disappear, you'll probably find me in the Tower but after 10+ years of watching this play out I personally have to exert my freedom to express an opinion and concur with the theorists and say that I do smell a rat. In the words of our amazing Queen, for whom incidentally I have the utmost respect " There are powers at work in this country about which we have no knowledge. Do you understand?"

NO ORDINARY PLANE CRASH - B.A. Burkhill, Coward and China

When an aeroplane owned by the British national carrier, British Airways, crash lands and 150+ passengers and crew escape with little or no severe injuries, we all raise our eyes to the heavens and see the hand of fate or the Lord at work. Astrologers however raise their eyes and see something else too.

We see - or perhaps I should speak personally - I see, the first outworkings of Pluto in Capricorn. There is well documented evidence that outer planetary cycles begin to manifest just prior to their exact aspect, or change of sign, and Pluto moves into Capricorn in just a few days time. Pluto represents transformation, often through downfall, destruction or underhand forces. Capricorn represents 'bastions of society' - institutions that are synonymous with tradition, leadership, patriotism etc. British Airways falls firmly into this latter category and so this could be the first sign of severe turbulence ahead.

I see it as ominous that this aircraft was inbound from Beijing and crashed just as our Prime Minister was about to take off from London for Beijing. His mission? "To position Britain as China's premier international business partner". The fact that the plane appears to have suffered a complete loss of power is therefore highly significant!

The flight number was BA038. The number 38 in numerology (and we must remember that astrology and numerology are at some level indivisible, as the entire Universe is made sense of via number) represents, ' A LION MUZZLED - A CLENCHED FIST' and 'GRACE UNDER PRESSURE'. Along with the Dragon, it is symbolic that the lion (and tiger) figure strongly in Chinese culture. In fact, the association of China to the lion stems back into ancient history*.

Many years ago I recall reading a chapter of a book by Charles and Suzi Harvey entitled: Learning To Listen. In this they pointed out that Margaret Thatcher slipped and fell on the steps of The Imperial Palace in Peking just as she was leaving negotiations over the Sovereignty of Hong Kong. Those with eyes and ears for such things knew that all was not well - the Iron Lady had slipped up. Hong Kong went back to the Chinese with Tony Blair at the helm.

They also reminded us that when red roses freakishly burst into bloom in Scotland on 1st January 1997 those with inner oracular hearing had heard the impending defeat of the Conservative Party as the red rose is the national symbol of the Labour Party. The conservatives went on to lose every seat in Scotland.

So, the crash of BA 038 may have been a simple tale of incredible luck and heroism but it would be wise to watch out for unexpected problems emerging in Anglo-Chinese relations and the path of Government leaders or those in authority. Some may say it could also speak of power problems for (or in) Britain in general. It may also be prudent to keep our eyes on the Royal Family, another 'Capricorn' institution, as the day before this crash our future Monarch took his first solo flight.

Just before I leave this subject I couldn't help but note that the second in command of BA 038 was Senior First Officer Coward. I would be 99.9% sure that, at some time in his youth, this man was the butt of cruel jokes such as 'Cowardly, Coward' and stuff of that ilk. Subconsciously he may have always wanted to prove them wrong and he just did that in the most superb way as it was he not the Captain who saved the day. I bet he's mentally lifting a few fingers up to anyone who ever teased him at school.

Finally I want to know why none of the Captains were George Clooney lookalikes when I worked for BA !

I've just come back in to add something else to this post. In view of my previous post (on Barack, Hillary and Britney) it occurred me that Captain Burkhill must have been born in the mid '60's. He must therefore be experiencing either a Saturn opposition and/or Saturn close to conjoining his Uranus/Pluto. This certainly did bring up issues of survival for the Captain but also, in view of some horrendously embarrassing photographs which have emerged from when he was 28 (Saturn return) there will probably now be an internal struggle to revive his authority and reputation. I'd forgive him, we all do mad things when we are young. However I'd be less forgiving of the snake who gave (or sold) these photos to the newspaper with unseemly haste.

BARACK '08 & BRITNEY '08 - Part 2

Saturn is transiting through the sign of Virgo. As such it is impacting the natal Pluto position of anyone born from 1958 and right through the Baby Boomer era of the 1960's. Virtually everybody between the ages of 40 and 50 is either already feeling this influence or will experience it in 2008. Those born 1969 - 1972, will feel it by 2009*.

I'm in the first group and with Saturn hovering over my Pluto, I've been watching the manifestations carefully.

When we experience a major transit we 'resonate' to it. In other words we tend to attract not only events of the nature of the influence but people and events for whom this aspect occurred in their natal chart. I recently decided to do a video on Britney Spears, it was only whilst making this that it dawned on me that she has the natal Saturn/Pluto aspect.

Barack Obama currently has Saturn transiting to a conjunction with his Pluto too. Like mine it's hovering - moving on and off. What has he 'attracted'? Well Hillary Clinton has the aspect natally! We see this type of occurrence time and time again. It has no real explanation other than the like attracts like syndrome i.e The Law of Attraction.

A person with a Saturn Pluto conjunction in their natal configuration (i.e. Hillary and Britney not Barack) tend to get involved in issues of survival. They are often control freaks or they somehow end up in positions where they feel controlled by others. They often have a difficult relationship with authority figures believing themselves to be the best authority. Sometimes they exhibit obsessions towards their body, or take some form of punishment out on their physicality - either by trying to alter it (kill off the way it naturally is) or 'punishing it' by taking on incredibly tough work schedules. Sometimes it manifests as sticking to a plan of action with obsessional zeal. However it shows up no-one should never underestimate the inner power of a Saturn/Pluto person. This aspect natally denotes one tough cookie with amazing powers of endurance.

Now when this aspect occurs by transit (i.e not natally) as it is doing to myself, Barack and anyone in their 40's, we can expect a fairly tough and testing transient period. Whoever is experiencing it is called upon to find their inner power and survive all manner of tests, deprivations (i.e lack of time, sleep and other blockages, losses etc all ruled by Saturn). The 'cosmic requirement' is that we use these lessons to assist our evolution and unfoldment.

Barack is undoubtedly having to endure a punishing agenda with the Obama '08 campaign. Additionally as Pluto rules his solar 4th, he is probably having to confront, and take responsibility for, his inability (during the campaign stages) to be of much support (Saturn) to his family, or indeed to be at home much. Another manifestation is that his adversaries will be digging around for any piece of information from his ancestry or background (4th) hoping that it will explode (PL) his hopes or at least stall his push for nomination. These hidden forces (PL) can further sap energy (SA) as for the most part they are covert. Pluto is posited in his solar 2nd pointing to a need to gain solid financial backing, to watch out for people looking for problems with his financial manifesto as well as a need for him to really believe he can do this job.

The hard work Barack puts in now however is like a building project - he is laying the long term support for the structure he intends to build (SA) for change (PL) via hope for the future (SAG) and eventual leadership (CAP) for America.

In mundane astrology the 4th house** (ruled in his chart by Pluto) speaks of the deep rooted traditions of a country, the common people (meaning the average voter or man/woman on the street) the party in opposition to the prevailing Government and nationalism and socialism. It is also the house we take to represent the Vice-President! Pluto means power and capacity to influence and transform. So Saturn transiting Pluto represents Barack's attempts to crystallise the message of integrity (SA) he is spreading (Virgo) to the people (4th). He is establishing his authority (Sa) and transforming the Democratic Party for the better in the process.

"I'm asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington..I'm asking you to believe in yours."

VIRGO. SERVICE, SLAVERY AND SEGREGATION
I have little doubt that Barack will, God willing, one day be in a position of supreme authority in America. Could that be 2009? As I said in my previous post it is really difficult to call as it stands now in January 08 but it looks doubtful. Having said that, many astrologers are looking at Saturn being in Virgo on Nov 4 and are talking about this denoting a female leader - as Virgo is a feminine sign and has connections to maidens and the Goddess Ceres (or Demeter goddess of agriculture and the wheat harvest). I believe though that something important has been overlooked.....

Virgo may well be a feminine sign but I recall once reading about how Virgo is associated with black people/people of colour, so I decided to look into this link. To this day, servants are ruled by Virgo in astrology and at one stage in history it is true to say that any black American was destined for a life of slavery or service. Thankfully times have changed now. If the association is followed through, it is interesting that whilst Saturn is in Virgo, Barack Obama is a very real contender for the position of first black President of America. Black Civil Rights activist Martin Luther King Jr had a dream that one day people of colour would be free from segregation. Is it coincidence that this great man had Neptune (dreams and freedom from restriction) in Virgo?

He was assassinated when Pluto was conjoined to Uranus in Virgo and the midpoint of these two planets is exactly the degree of Barack's natal Mars in Virgo position. I have also discovered that Saturn was in Virgo on 2 March 1861 when the 13th Amendment (abolition of slavery) was first proposed***

Could these Virgo placings flag up a portent that we have missed - Saturn in Virgo will be opposed by Uranus in Pisces on Election day. Is America ready for a Black President? By March '08 we will probably know.

With perseverance (SA) Barack can use this period to eliminate (PL) some of the more unsavoury facets of authoritative positions (Pluto moving into Cap) that cause people to no longer have much respect for politics or leaders. He is lighting a new beacon or at least taking the baton from previous great men in seeking to unite America and eliminate the divide and conquer approach. I believe he can lead the way but it must be said however that this is a period fraught with danger and obstacles for him. Any sea-change (Uranus Pisces) in ingrained traditions can only come about with persistence, bravery and effort.

Indeed Astrologer Robert Hand says of transiting Saturn conjoined to Pluto: (This) can result in some incident or accident that limits freedom of movement. We know the aforementioned Election Day Saturn/Uranus can result in revolutions and/or severe uprisings, although from which quarter we are not yet sure.

"That is why this campaign can't only be about me. It must be about us - it must be about what we can do together"

With regard to Britney and Hillary and their natal Saturn Pluto conjunction, expert astrologer Alan Oken has this to say:

Consolidation unites with Regeneration:
This is an aspect of great frustration. There is a strong urge to rid oneself of both an internal sense of limitation and any form of restrictive hold that may be placed upon one by society. This aspect appears in the horoscope of those continually striving to be 'free' in their methods of self-expression. A great tension is often produced resulting in sudden and tremendous explosions which can have an adverse effect on health and standing in society (This is playing out overtly for Britney. For Hillary we have seen her come close to losing her composure in the occasional lash-out at Barack - my words).

Michael Munkasey talks about this aspect as... use of secret or military agencies, restraints on destructive weapons and turmoil in any rigid or older structure.

In the interests of fairness and more positivity let me also just add that Ebertin gives Saturn/Pluto aspects as: magical qualities and the process of growing spiritually and mentally.

These are certainly qualities that Barack is using to capture our hearts. Britney's charisma captivated legions of fans. As for Hillary, we all have differing opinions but let us hope her desire for power is truly for her country and not for herself.

BRITNEY AND BARACK '08 - Is there hope?

I was fully intending to put up a title saying President Obama or even Vice President Clinton but I have to say I can't call it. If my head were on a block, Hillary for nomination and then 80% chance of winning. When other people are ruled either in or out and a running mate is announced it should be a piece of cake but at the moment, despite having spent ages looking at all the astrological charts, I simply can't. Nothing like a bit of honesty eh!

With an American husband (well actually ex husband) and therefore a half American daughter I watch these things with some insight and knowledge. If I still lived over there wild horses wouldn't stop me becoming a voluntary member of Obama's campaign team. I think he's great, if not brilliant. He would revolutionise America and continue to amalgamate hope with vision. When we look at political elections around the world these days however, we cannot be 100% sure we are looking at democracy. That's probably my next Green Card out of the window but whether because of voting shenanigans or a divine plan which he doesn't yet slot into (or has yet to unravel) something appears to be preventing him moving forward. I reserve the right to look again though after Feb 5th ;-)

What I do feel more sure about is young Ms Spears and her current dilemma, so here, using my new gizmo, is a video about what is going on with her from an astrological perspective. One small problem with my new software is that I can only only record in short bursts which throws me a bit but I hope to get that fixed. Keeping these things more succinct is one of my aims in 2008.

WAKING PEOPLE UP

Hi everyone,

It's a busy time balancing single-parenting with my astrological practice in the holidays, so a temporary slow down in posts is to be expected until next week. During the interlude however I put together a new YouTube Video, which I'll post here today. I also had a genius 'computer person' come over and fix me up with a video system whereby I'll be able to show charts onscreen in real time i.e. animate them whilst talking about them etc. I'm currently pouring over Barack Obama's chart and I'll post on that with my new gizmo soon.

I made this new video because I was so inspired by the film Zeitgeist (Part One) in its ability to reach out and contact those who previously had no idea about the true origins of Christianity and astrology.

Most of the content in the video I have made is second nature to any astrologers reading. However, I hope that via this blog it may reach the eyes of some sceptical people who may then gain at least some small snippet of understanding about astrology. If not perhaps they'll send it on to others, or go on to watch Zeitgeist (part one only - I'm not commenting on part 2 and 3 here).

We are in for an interesting year with the stand off between Saturn and Uranus. Astrology is going to come in for some flak (as usual) but the turnaround (a renaissance?) may finally be starting. The more people who get the message out to the uninitiated, that astrology is the number one tool for understanding not only our 'Self' but our relationship to the Universe and global events, the better in my book. In a way that is my passion - spreading the word.

On that note, I went to my local newsagent today. They had sold out of my normal Sunday Paper so, pretty reluctantly I purchased the Sunday Mirror (a downmarket tabloid here in the UK). As soon as I opened it I knew why I had been 'led' to buy it - a new astrologer took over today. It's Barbara Dunn and they did a whole double page spread on the fact that she is a Horary Astrologer. That would have been unheard of even one year ago. The big intro splash even had an accompanying box on William Lilly and made mention of Christian Astrology! Barbara's another Scorpio, so Pluto is about to enter her solar 3rd. We can only hope she can persuade the Editor there at The Sunday Mirror to let her take astrology columns in that paper to the next level. I predict a rise in 'power' for Barbara in the media spotlight. Hopefully she'll continue to use that Plutonian 'power' to help change the (still) popular understanding of newspaper astrology as being 'for entertainment only'.

Meanwhile, with now-to-be-expected synchronicity I also happened across an article by Eric Francis today - one dating back from 2000. Eric Francis had written about newspaper astrology on Star IQ and it goes without saying that Jonathan Cainer was at the top of the list - and still is today 7+ years on. Having said that, Eric is also a force to be reckoned with and his brilliant site is here

DOUBLE THE TROUBLE - Plus *Asteroid update*

With the ushering in of the New Year there will be a distinct change of tempo as Mars moves back into Gemini.

Mars is currently in retrograde motion (appearing to travel backwards from our vantage point) and it has been in the sign of Cancer since 29th September and in retrograde motion since 15th November. Think back to events on or around those dates for clues as to what situations you are returning to now. What have you shoved under the carpet or to the back of the wardrobe? There's no hiding place now, everything is coming out - to mix metaphors - the pressure has been building and the lid's about to blow, whether you like it or not.

Mars in Cancer is very self protective (think US Homeland Security). Cancer is a past oriented, water sign and Mars a forward-thrusting oriented planet. Mars corresponds to our will and life force, including our anger. When posited in the sign of Cancer it is said to be in a position of weakness as the two inclinations are antithetical to one another. Cancer likes to remember what has gone before and then stew on it, while Mars just wants to move on. This battle takes place internally and we end up trying to put one foot in the future without severing ties from the past. We actively hoard things we know we have no use for, or tenaciously cling to emotional hurts that are really only hurting us by our inability to let them go. Alternatively some of us are desperate to move forward but have to bide our time as issues (usually emotional ones) from the past seem stuck to us like superglue and we just can't find release.

This halfway house sets up tension. Thus when we are prodded and reminded that we need to take action we vacillate and our inability to move on shows up in the outside world as avoidance, sidestepping or even total retreat to a place of emotional protection.

Now as Mars moves back into Gemini we are prompted, invited, coerced or even forced to talk and make more objective, rather than emotionally based, decisions. Mars in Gemini with Pluto in opposition can trigger intense verbal battles, debates and discussions. The upshot of which is a release of pressure and new choices that can assist us to move forward. As Mars will move back for its final pass through Cancer in early March (for final time for 2 years) this period now can be viewed as a mediation period. A time when you, or someone who can facilitate this for you, has to look at both sides - both options. So open up negotiations and dialogues now. Bring options and solutions to the table. View things in a more detached manner unhindered by emotional triggers. Later in the year you'll be able to achieve resolution or finally walk away.

Gemini is the sign of duality. Out in the world things will now show up in twos, pairs or twins. Two job offers, two lovers, two houses etc. Gemini was the sign associated with Twin towers. It is also present when people who look alike or have similar sounding names (Ruth McCann-Kate/Gerry McCann?) make headlines. Gemini also indicates :Two leaders, Two bullets (Bhutto?) Two burials, Two People's Princesses, Two sides to a story, Two invitations, Two cars, Two asteroids (!) double-barrelled names.... the list is endless.

Focus will return to places said to be ruled by Gemini. These are Sardinia, Belgium, New York, San Francisco, City of London, Lombardy Italy, Cordoba Spain, Nuremberg, Germany. City centres, hills, mountains, barren places, barns, places close to a storehouse, wainscot, plaster and walls, Coffers trunks chests, playhouses, dining rooms and educational establishments. Expect to see these in the news as well as the division of the Earth's surface starting at 60 degrees to 90 degrees of longitude from Greenwich i.e. 60E - 90E at all latitudes. This includes, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

By polarity 120W - 90W is the mirror (or twin) to this region. So this covers the US States of IA,MO,LA, AR, OK, KS, NE, ID, SD, CO, WY, NM, TX, UT, WY, AZ, NV and all latitudes above or below these States (Canada) and out West as far as the coast of Los Angeles.

There's some evidence to suggest that 60 - 90 degrees latitude above and below the equator, may be impacted by Mars in Gemini. We should watch for headlines and events concerning places around the Poles and locations such as Alaska, Northern Canada, Norway Sweden, Greenland , Finland, Scottish Isles and across to Eastern countries etc.

ASTEROID UPDATE
Here is something we'll all be debating and discussing with Mars in Gemini....The odds of a collision of 2007 WD5 with Mars have now been reduced to a phenomenal 1-25.

According to JPL in the (still unlikely) event of an impact, it will occur 30th Jan, 2008 at 02.55am PST +/- a few minutes. Here's the chart. Click to enlarge.
