SATURN/URANUS - who's holding you back from change

As a Scorpio I have never been afraid to tackle the subjects that others find a little 'taboo'. I'm interested in ferreting out and discussing those thought processes we all indulge in but don't care to make public. You know, the ones such as anger, futility (some call that one depression) shame and envy.

There is however one other big non-discussable (I'm making up words today) subject that needs to be added to that list and that is, loneliness. In my experience people would rather strip naked in a town square than ever admit to anyone that they are lonely or feel that they don't have anyone who really understands them. So, the reason I'm bringing this up is not to be all morose and negative. Rather it is to discuss a syndrome that I know is very common to anyone treading, or about to embark on, the path of what we might term 'higher consciousness'. I want to offer reassurance that feelings of loneliness are commonplace in those who are transitioning their lives from the ordinary to the extra-ordinary!

The popular idea is that on the 'spiritual' path we become far more aware of ourselves and therefore much more forgiving of others. We come to realise that others stuff is ours and theirs - a direct reflection of the dynamic that exists between us - and that it is helping us both come to a realisation of our 'selves'. Consequently we expect to immediately have better relationships with everyone. Eventually that is true but unfortunately it is not always quite as simple as that. The truth of which we do not speak is that other people are evolving to their own unique timing and if they are not 'where you are at' they probably won't like the changes they see in you, and in many cases will actively try and resist them (This is especially true of those with fixed signs on 3rd, 6th and 9th cusp).

The reason is this. As soon as one person in a relationship, whether that be a friendship, a love relationship or even a family member starts to change, the dynamic that has existed between the couple is thrown out of kilter. Now if you have some very enlightened, self aware family members or friends all can be fine. With honest dialogue, communication can be the key that will open the door to a whole new dynamic but I'm afraid you have to be prepared for the fact that this is rare.

When you start to behave differently, even if it is more positively, it means that the other person is forced to be more introspective about themselves and that is not always welcome or pleasant. Basically this is another manifestation of the Law of Polarity. It is at this point the relationship becomes unbalanced and middle ground needs to be reached.

Here's one dynamic as an example of what I am talking about. I will write this in the first person as I have had this experience and I know that countless others have too....

When I was in my twenties I used to go out with a certain friend. We tended to moan about the same things; mainly not having enough money or the life we craved. We always ate at the same type of restaurants, purchased clothes in similar shops etc and we had a routine. We had a definition to the word 'affordable' and everything we did was in our comfort zone. Then as I started to become more immersed in an abundance consciousness I felt a need to move out of this stagnant fish pond and up into new streams (Venus trine Uranus). New vistas beckoned and I wanted to try them.

As part of my unfolding growth and self realisation I began to realise that I had been selling myself short and missing out, simply because my beliefs supported my lack mentality. I also realised I was sending out a pretty low vibrational energy about life to boot. So, I suggested to this friend that we tried new things and I was very positive and upbeat about meeting the additional costs involved. The relationship quickly soured. I recall going through a period of intense soul searching and sadness as someone who I really liked appeared to be rejecting me.

It was only when I was much older and wiser that I could see in retrospect what had really been happening. My behaviour had set up resentment within my friend who a) didn't feel comfortable with the sudden change in me and b) it would have forced her to look at her own feelings of lack because I was actively embracing an abundance mentality whilst she was firmly stuck in poverty consciousness.

It's a fact of life that a lot of the bonding that goes on between friends tends to be because we find areas of similarity that make us feel comfortable about who we are and the way we behave. Most people unconsciously choose friends who they perceive to support their belief system and to have similar values. Anyone else is a potential threat to the identity also known as Ego. At the end of the day people like to be around people who make them feel good and however positive you may be, if you are unconsciously confronting them with their own stuff then that is not making them feel good.

Another area, of many, where this same syndrome can arise is in choice of partners, lovers etc. To use another example, although thankfully not mine in this case, I have a friend who had always battled intensely with feelings of low self worth. In particular she had attracted partners who treated her very badly.

Once she become immersed in knowledge of manifesting and positive thinking she realised she had been selling herself short in many area of her life. She quickly saw miraculous results when she applied her mind to creating her reality. However as her self-esteem grew her partnership dramatically deteriorated. Her partner went from being mildly, verbally abusive to very threatening - he had to 'up the ante' to try and forcibly bring her back down to a level where she remained within his control. Luckily the time was right for her to leave and she hung onto her new found sense of self and found the courage to leave.

If your self esteem suddenly rises and you realise that you deserve better and are proactive about making a change, the other person is suddenly confronted with the truth about their relationship and that can be too much.

So, just be aware that in your efforts to manifest change you will encounter people who try to disparage what you are doing.(SA/UR = held back from change by others). Some of them will try and sabotage your effort, others will just stop calling you so frequently. It is vitally important, especially to those of you who are only just encountering this syndrome that you don't let it knock you back. You may start to question your self worth again when it seems that those who once really liked you now seem to be less enthusiastic. It is not about you but about them and - by the LoA - about the entire transition process and you must be 'aware' enough to see it for what it is.

It will certainly sort the wheat out from the chaff. Those people who really love and care for you will be delighted to see your newfound positivity in action. They will celebrate with you when you attract the new job, the new car, the perfect love relationship. Hopefully they will even show an interest in learning your techniques and reading some of your motivational books. Even if they don't the nice ones will just let you be. It is the ones who undermine your efforts to change or act in a passive/aggressive way who you must question your involvement with.

In the final analysis, it is part of the great cycles of life that friends, as well as jobs, cars, money, experiences will pass in and out of your world. Silently thank these people for whatever lessons they are bringing to your door, but if they are not ready for change themselves you may have to just keep focused ahead and move on.

Trust in the divine order of life and know that you can only lose from your life what is no longer required and that it will always be replaced by something better.

RESURRECT YOUR DREAM

So, here we are. Easter, the celebration of the resurrection of light in the Northern Hemisphere. (What? You thought it was all about a man whose name begins with J? ). The precise dates of Easter are set by the lunar cycle but always occurs on the first Sunday after the first Full Moon, occurring on or after the Equinox. A Full Moon is a point of maximum illumination. The Equinox marks the beginning of the increase in day length in the Northern Hemisphere, which is the side of the globe almost all early skywatching civilisations resided in. As they say in the US - go figure!

Death and resurrection (rebirth) are two words very closely associated with the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is co-ruled by Mars. Mars is the planet that corresponds to Aries, the sign that begins at the Equinox. See the connections?

Resurrection. What does that mean to you?

It's a time of renewed energy, 'the sap is rising' a young man's (and woman's) fancy turns to thoughts of love; the lambs are gamboling in the fields. We exchange eggs as a symbolic sign of the inherent impulse and energy to break out of our constrictions - our period of hibernation or gestation - and take those first tentative steps towards growth. Or at least that's how it should be.

In a recent magazine survey in the UK 69% of those questioned aren't living the life they thought we would be, 25% wish they could change their life and only an astounding 11% feel they are fulfilling their true potential. That's an incredible figure and an awful lot of unhappy people who are obviously not seeking growth but instead living life like some kind of automaton; going through the motions.

If you are one of those people the coming days and weeks are replete with the type of energy that will support your deepest wishes and desires to move towards breaking free and making a change.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal;a time to break down, and a time to build up..........
Ecclesiastes

If you don't even know where to begin then I may be able to help. I would like to suggest that you start by getting your vision straight. Know what it is you want to invite into your life in coming days and what it is you want to eliminate. Get absolutely clear but be mindful of the golden rule; we get back what we give out - period.

If you are meeting anger, arguments, competition, negativity, lack then those traits, and the cause of their appearance, reside somewhere inside you and need urgent resolution. Sure, you may manage to manifest yourself a holiday, a new job, more success, money or whatever quite easily by 'inviting it in' but until you have dealt with the unconscious stuff, then believe me, it will continue to stalk you.

Wherever we go we take our 'Self' with us.

Something akin to the following will possibly happen.... You'll go on holiday but meet anger, loss, negativity or whatever your inner issue is. You may win or gain money but you'll hang onto it so tightly that you won't really enjoy it, especially if your 'issue' is perpetual lack, or success may arrive but will be accompanied by niggling competition and rivalry. Your new job may be fantastic. You'll be able to say "I manifested that, this really works" but a few months or even days into your new job you'll start to meet conditions that replicate what you were trying to escape from.

'How can I fix the unconscious?' I hear you cry. ' Surely by the very nature of the word it is unknown or beneath my conscious mind?'. The answer is to look into the mirror of your life. As I say, it is all there for you to see. everything you meet is a reflection of this unconscious mind desperately trying to catch your attention and become conscious!

Likewise writing out your elimination list isn't a magic spell. You don't write it down hand it over to some invisible magician and whoosh it will disappear. It's a method of bringing what you don't want to your conscious mind so that you can deal with it.

To help you crystallise your vision, especially while the Sun is in Aries, as always I highly recommend using Vision Boards. Mindful of the current climate of growth my friends down in the Southern hemisphere*, Linda and Cornelius are launching their new VISION LOUNGE community on March 26th.

You may like to get on board. I sincerely hope you do. The time under the heavens couldn't be more perfectly ripe for acting on your intention to make changes, so start visualising today.

Start Creating Your Vision Board Today!

FOLLOW YOUR BLISS!

Regular readers may have noted an extra long gap between posts. That's because I have been busy working on my Spring Equinox Newsletter - well that's what I have titled it but actually 'e-zine' would be a better description. Tomorrow's Spring edition is heavily biased towards content to assist you in making positive change in your life to coincide with the Astrological New Year.

It's an amalgamation of my Cosmic Ordering, Comic Cipher and Collaborate With Fate blogs. As well as lots of motivational material, it also contains a carefully researched, and possibly quite unique, article on 2012; a section on an unusual chart technique; a large feature article and plenty, plenty more. If you would like a copy then the sign up box is now in my sidebar.

I've been writing this particular blog since the beginning of 2006 and I began it with a story about how the use of manifesting techniques had been responsible for a big turning point in my career as an astrologer - hence why I titled the blog Collaborate With Fate. In it I wanted to try and share my passion for astrology and metaphysics and alert people to the power of the mind - specifically manifesting and I what I then termed Wish Listing.

What I didn't know at that point was that the wave I had been surfing for a few decades was about to become a tsunami. Just a few months after I started the blog, a book called Cosmic Ordering by a German lady, Barbel Moir, hit the UK with all the hype and excitement of a Dan Brown or JK Rowling release. Meanwhile over on the other side of the water, the US (and Australia) were waking up to news of a movie called 'The Secret'. A web based film, divulging these hitherto unheard of concepts about metaphysics and the power of the mind to the masses.

To accommodate this sudden interest, I decided to start my Cosmic Ordering site and as a result the posts here reverted to being more astrology and astromapping based than I had initially intended. At first it worked quite well but over a period of time I came to realise that I had a foot in two camps and had lost site of my original intention which was to show people that the two are not separate at all but part of a larger picture. In fact the Law of Attraction not only dovetails perfectly with astrology it is astrology.

A birthchart immediately shows an astrologer what kind of vibrations and patterns a person is naturally attuned to transmit and by understanding one gets back what one gives out, we can make better sense of our life and the way we shape it. In the case of an event chart, or the chart of an object without consciousness, the founding 'birth' moment appears to carry a harmonic (which is only another way of saying vibrational attunement) resonance as it's 'life cycle' unfolds. Similarly Astromapping is a way of showing people where on Earth they have a natural attraction or a vibrational attunement to*

'Prediction' comes into it only because if we understand what type of energies a planet corresponds to on all levels of existence, then by tracking the harmonic cycles of those planets to a fixed point (i.e., a chart or a location) we can surmise what type of event or actions may unfold. Without getting too in depth here, that is not due to energies of the planet per se, but of the energies associated with the number we equate them to, and the number is derived from their planetary periods. The whole universe is ordered by number. The intervals between two numbers give us length proportion and therefore time. The most basic interval of the Sun is 12 fold.

Another strong intention I had back in back in January 2006 was to write a book. I wanted to divulge what my life story has been and why I have been led to promote the merits of manifesting techniques and affirmations so evangelically. I strongly believe that it is only those who have actually been to the 'underworld' and come back up again (how Scorpionic is that) - those who have been greatly tested and come out the other side - who can really be 'heard' by others. This is probably because of vibration again- the act of empathy being the quickest way to align with someone. Indeed some of my experiences, however bad they seemed at the time may have been solely so I could do this work. We all have a calling and if we look back over our lives, we can usually see the pattern and why there is always something that we were born to do.

The other benchmark I use, and ask you to use too, is if you could do something 24/7 and would do it for free because you love it so much, what would it be?

For me that has always been a job that doesn't have a title, which is very tricky when you go to parties or meet someone for the first time. I eventually, but reluctantly, introduce myself as an Astrologer but really that's not what I do; I notice the hidden ways in which we interact with others and our Universe. If we want to get really pretentious I guess I could tack up a note on my office door saying Cosmic Consciousness Facilitator. Don't laugh. I'm sure someone out there actually calls themselves that! I don't know what to call myself to people who are completely outside this 'world'. Astrologer and Vision Coach suffices for the most part but really I connect the unseen dots and speak in a foreign language.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that you may hear slightly less from me on these pages from now on as I set about writing my book and what you do read may not necessarily be purely astrology based. I have to stay true to myself and the moment doing a post becomes chore rather than a spontaneous sharing, it's probably best not to do it at all. I want to follow my bliss as my main man would say. And just who is my main man? Those of you who read me regularly already know that I genuflect at the altar of a certain Dr. Wayne Dyer.

I'm going to leave you with a video from this wonderful man with the mellifluous voice. It was as the result of reading his book Your Erroneous Zones when I was a teenager and his subsequent book You Will See It When You Believe It that I credit with giving me a reason to live, and later on in life, for making me feel that a square peg did have a place and a purpose in a world of round holes.

I resonated totally and completely with his words and his vibe in that latter book and every word he utters today still has exactly the same effect. My adoration is so enveloping that in a George Clooney/ Wayne Dyer contest the latter would win! Okay, so you get the picture, this love is deep. Here's some words from Wayne and the video:

If you run your cursor along the bottom of the video screen you'll be led to more.

Happy Equinox!

MANY MANSIONS

MANY MANSIONS - LOOKING AT CRITICAL DEGREES
All astrological delineations are ultimately founded on mathematics and number appears to be the means by which the entire Universe is organised – or at least the way that we can make sense of it. The circle is representative of all cycles and the astrological circle, like the circumference of the Earth, is divided into 360 degrees.

Ancient Chaldean wisdom informs us that there are certain points in the 360 degree circle which have an inherent potency. These points are calculated by the division of the 360 degree circle into 28 parts and these are known as Lunar Mansions because 28 days is the time (approx*) it takes for the Moon to return to any given degree of Celestial longitude on her travels.

These 28 parts are each precisely 12 6/7ths (12.51’) of the circle. Therefore the first Mansion occupies the degrees 0.0’-1-12.51’ Aries. The second: 12.51’- 25.43 Aries then 25.43 - 8.34 Taurus then 8.34’ – 21.26’ Taurus and so on adding 12.51 each time. These gateway degrees are known as the Critical Degrees and set out in a table we can see that they are:

CARDINAL MODALITY 0, 12.51 and 25.43 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn
FIXED MODALITY 8.34 and 21.26 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio. Leo Aquarius
MUTABLE MODALITY 4.7 and 17.9 of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces

Once the Moon enters a new gate events of a striking nature and a change of affairs are said to occur in accordance with the modality and sign it is moving into. Not a great deal of research has been done by any astrologer about the critical degrees. Vivian Robson and Sepharial probably have one of the most comprehensive references I have seen and you can read Robson's here. He asserts that Mansions probably predate the zodiac divisions!

It is because of this lack of in- depth research into the effects of the Mansions in western astrology (they are used in Chinese and Indian astrology all the time) that I offer this information here so that we can start to take more note when planets transit these degrees, especially when the progressed Moon enters a new Mansion.

In general it is said that the pr Moon entering a cardinal Mansion will involve major life events (as cardinal signs correspond to the angles) My observation is that they do tend to make us more proactive. They can trigger a need to take action but the action is usually swift, in keeping with cardinality.

According to astrologer Carol Rushman, the pr Moon travelling through fixed degrees will trigger something that lasts longer and we may feel stuck for a while on the physical or emotional plane.

Mutable degrees are more concerned with mental activity and movement and we can be undecided and easily swayed for the period, while we look at the options open to us in whatever transition we are faced with.

The signs are also taken into account and modify the type of cardinality, fixity or mutability. Thus Libra as a whole is concerned with our relationships and contracts, whether these be with marriage, business partnerships. legal contracts, enemies etc. The Mansions demarcate these specific areas and 0 Libra - 12.51 Libra is said by Sepharial to relate to enemies (I'm not sure I agree with this but I'm just passing it along). So from 0 degrees Libra until the pr Moon passes through the 12.51 degree one will deal with enemies and opposition, at which point (13 degrees) there will be a marked change into marriage and partnerships issues. Then when the progressed Moon (or planet) reaches 25.43 degrees Libra, contracts and agreements will take precedence until it passes 8 Scorpio and so on and so forth.

Some astrologers maintain that the Mansions are not just sensitive to the movement of the progressed Moon but also to all the planets, especially the outer ones. One needs to make their own observations.

As I say the other name for the gateways into each Mansion is Critical Degrees. Whereas Mansions refers to the whole division of almost 13 degrees, the belief here is that when the pr Moon (or a lunation or even planets) hit the precise gateway degree (listed above) there is a crisis or turning point in your affairs. If you are living more consciously however, the transit or progression of the planet may only serve to bring positive manifestations, or at the very least wholly manageable situations. Forewarned is forearmed though. if you know you have an imminent transit, progression or lunation over a Critical Degree simply be open to it. If a crisis does occur you can look for the lesson within it, which obviously needs more awareness in order to resolve.

NATAL PLANETS AT CRITICAL DEGREES
So far we have been talking about progressions and transits. Some astrologers say that natal planets at critical degrees (no orb) are said to bring these planets, and indeed the person, into more prominence for the entire lifetime according to the nature of the planet and degree involved. The Ascendant occupying a Critical Degree is said to make a person very magnetic. Do you have your Ascendant at 0, 12.51 and 25.43 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn or 7.34 and 21.26 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio. Leo Aquarius . Perhaps it's at 4.7 or 17.9 of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces?

One obvious area of research would be to look at the charts of famous people for a preponderance of critical degrees or imminent transits to one.

Finally I should just mention that 29 degrees of any sign, whilst not a Lunar Mansion entrance, is also considered to be a point to observe as it is the transition from one sign to another. It also seems to transpire that those with their natal Asc or Sun at 29 degrees of any sign often seem to live a life of more intensity than others - perhaps because there would have been a distinct change of energy in the first 12 months of life(?)

When anyone’s progressed Moon hits 29 degrees or a Critical Degree the crisis tends to last for one month as the Moon takes approximately one month to move 1 degree by progression but then, in the case of Mansions, take the next 12 to fully resolve or assimilate that particular phase of lunar energy. If it is the progressed Sun, that entire year can be one of change when it hits a critical degree. With transits, it is the outer planets and especially stations at critical degrees which one should pay the most attention to.

To my mind we are just adding more techniques to an already overloaded toolbox, so I would concentrate only on watching your pr Moon and pr Sun. Mundane astrologers might like to take note of events such as the recent 7 March lunation conjunct Uranus on the 17 Pisces critical degree. However, little is known about what this Lunar Mansion of Pisces ( 17 - 0 Aries) would directly correspond to. If anyone has ever come across any information about the correspondences of the divisions beyond Sepharial and Robson's work, I'd love to know.

Those of you who have a good astrology software program may like to experiment with the 28th harmonic (or even 28.77) as this division of the circle was obviously very important to the ancients, although I'm not too sure what it could reveal.

Note * The Arabs, Hindus and Chinese all used Mansions but the divisions altered slightly with each some consisting of up to 13.20 degrees each.

LOUIS DE WOHL

Since the release of secret documents from the National Archives at Kew, the story of MI5 using an astrologer during WWII has swept around the world. Today another double page article appeared in the Daily Mail.

Without exception the stories once again ridicule the subject of astrology and, in this case, also perform a character assassination on the astrologer involved, Louis de Wohl. Over on Skyscript you can read a first hand account about De Wohl written by Dr Felix Jay. It certainly describes him as a highly flamboyant personality, with little formal training and a penchant for friendly plagiarism. My take on it however is that we shouldn't dismiss him as an out and out charlatan because, having read his book 'Commonsense Astrology', it actually does contain a lot of commonsense in its opening chapters - something I highly doubt he would have 'lifted' or even had ghosted by someone else.

Indeed if we are to compare his astrological musings to some of the rubbish that is on the shelves around the world today, it stands up as a fairly sound introduction - if only because of the passion and conviction he obviously felt for the subject at the time of penning it. (1940).

In fact it reads like one of those conversations you have when somebody has only recently been introduced to the subject and is almost evangelical about what they have uncovered. This is an observation that fits nicely with Dr Jay's assessment of Louis de Wohl's personality in that aforementioned article on Skyscript.

Although Dr Jay gives a highly credible account of his experience of the man, it is not particularly complimetary to say the least. At the end of the day though it is only his perception and, as the saying goes, one man's meat is another man's poison. Additionally it is not beyond the realms of possibility that attempts were made (and continue today) to discredit De Wohl because it would be a terrible humiliation for the Security Services to have to admit to using an astrologer. Look at the flak Reagan endured. How can we be 100% sure Dr Jay didn't have an agenda that put his allegiance to the military above his own interest in astrology? By his own admission their contact was sporadic.

In many of the articles doing the rounds today (check Google news) you can see that they have explained Wohl's astrological contribution away by insisting it was a cover for material divulged by the Enigma code-cracking team at Bletchley Park. Christy Campbell's article in The Mail finishes...

"Yet again De Wohl had provided cover for the information gleaned from Enigma. This is why, baffling though it seems, those at highest levels were so keen on nonsense from the stars"

In 'Commonsense Astrology' De Wohl spoke animatedly about this type of sarcasm and the contempt his interest in astrology engendered. He writes about a lawyer who came to visit him...

"....determined, as he said, to convince me of the utter foolishness of 'dabbling in astrology'. Like so many people he did not realise the amazing cocksureness of such an attempt, with a few hastily picked up arguments, to convince a man that he had spent nine years of study on a lot of rubbish!. Sheer politeness ought to have prevented him from rating his intelligence so much higher than his opponent"
I don't think there will be an astrologer reading this who can't relate to that experience and reaction from the ignorant! Wohl goes on to say that he is often asked the question, Is astrology a Science or an Art? His response....

" It is not a very intelligent question. There is no science without artists. Lectures and books will teach a surgeon how to perform very complicated operations. But the same operation can be done scientifically and yet clumsily; or scientifically and artistically. When a person plays a tune on a pianola, is it art? It is mechanical. When Paderewski plays the same tune, it is art.

When astrology teaches us the laws of the Kosmos (sic) it is natural science. When it shows us deep spiritual connections between other worlds and ours, it is mystic. When it gives us cognition about the structure of people's characters, it is a supplement to psychology. But when a first-rate astrologer describes the character of a person he has never seen, on the basis of astrological knowledge, illumined by the fire of intuition and that divine imagination that makes poetry out of words and thoughts, is it not art?"
I can't vouch for Wohl's astrological expertise, and indeed at first glance it does seem quite rudimentary, but with five planets in Aquarius and a Moon/Uranus conjunction, I wouldn't put it past him to have been the recipient of a highly evolved mind and a quick and ready grasp of the practice and scientific basis of astrology.

One place where his predictions were very wrong, however, was when he bemoaned the disrespect that Astrology was receiving from mankind. De Wohl believed that it was shortly to re-gain its rightful place after being neglected for the previous ( previous to 1940) five generations. He wrote:
... the last five generations have neglected astrology - not because it has not worked but because the notorious period of enlightenment, starting with The French Revolution in 1789, substituted purely material cravings for the hunger for knowledge and led us into this age of mechanics, where man who beats a record with bigger and better machines is the hero of heroes. But this period too is swiftly declining and the longing for knowledge is growing everywhere. The aim of every single line I have written about Astrology is to make thinking people Astrology-conscious. and especially to win the interest of those who, for the most part have shown us the cold shoulder until now - the scientists. We can no longer go on separately. It is becoming too great a responsibility. We must have more statistics. We must have an official paper like The Lancet of medical science. Not cheap predictive stuff, mixed with palmistry, clairvoyance and all sorts of other things which I do not want to condemn- I know nothing of them so how could I give any judgement about them? - but which should live their own lives.

We need an official examination before anyone can call themselves an astrologer. It is the only way to get rid of the worst type of quack and charlatan. We need more and closer collaboration with other sciences. Stop scoffing and have a look instead. Not a casual glimpse at an astrological grammar. A real look. We are said to be mystery men, wizards, medicine men, sorcerers , conjurers. But unlike all these people, we are only too ready to open our drawers, to lead our public behind the stage and to show them our 'tricks'. We don't want to be mysterious. We want to be helpful. Have a look. Ladies and gentlemen. See for yourself how it is done."

At first sight De Wohl seems to have done our profession a disservice and to have brought it into further ill-repute with the release of these records from Kew, but over on Skyscript the article remarks that it was de Wohl's book The Secret Service of the Sky that initiated Ronald Davison's introduction to the noble art. Wohl's rousing and imaginative style of writing captured Dennis Elwell's attention too: "Imagine - the planets as spies in the sky, leaking secret information! It appealed to my Scorpio ascendant" he remarked.

Ronald (who sadly died in 1985) and Dennis, have both made an outstanding contribution to Astrology in their time and if De Wohl had a hand in their introduction to the subject we owe him a great deal more respect than he is currently being shown by many unenlightened journalists. Far from being a charlatan he was obviously a charismatic, colourful individual who was just ahead of his time. Having read what he wrote above, I for one would be proud to have made the acquaintance of the astrologer, Louis De Wohl.

The Astrology/ De Wohl's Horoscope.
Dr Jay doubts the authenticity of Wohl's horoscope but I believe it was close to 7.45pm in Berlin on 24 Jan 1903. The reason for this is that a) Wohl shows his chart in his book and while I understand what Dr Jay says in the article (that he was the type of character to alter the detail) I noticed, in an entirely different section of the book, Wohl alludes to the possibility of being killed in a road accident on Dec 2 1932 at 6.17pm. If we run a chart for that time it places Mars exactly on the ascendant 8 Virgo18 of the chart he uses which shows 8 Virgo rising and 1 Gemini on MC. The slight difference between the Jay chart of 7 Virgo 27 is easily accounted for by the fact that he, Wohl, would have been computing charts by hand. Mars was (and is) a common basic significator for an accident to the physical body and as Virgo and the MC Gemini are ruled by Mercury, and Mercury was at that moment in square aspect to transiting Uranus, I believe this is his correct chart.

Furthermore he has a Moon/Uranus conjunction in Sagittarius which perfectly describes Dr Jay's observations of him and his nature, plus this conjunction sits conjoined to my Venus and I am moved to defend his good reputation so the synastry bears out! Additionally, you will see that although Wohl didn't include Pluto in his chart, it was at 17 Gemini in his 10th of career and reputation. This is transited today by a Lunation at 17 Pisces in perfect square aspect - hence we have the public attempts to discredit him.

Today's New Moon is conjoined to Uranus, the planet of astrology. Mercury Neptune and Venus are passing over his three 6th house natal Aquarian planets bringing his name (Venus rules 3rd) and work as a servant of the Forces (6th), to public attention on an international scale via the media ( tr Jupiter conjoins his Venus) once more. Finally tr Mars is conjoined to Wohl's Neptune this speaks of the mystery and the character attacks (Mars/Neptune = meltdown) and scandal that some people are trying to portray. Click on image at top to see it clearly. Ascendant must be 8.18 Virgo making his corrected birthtime 19.50 and placing 00.55 Gemini on the MC. Tr Pluto now inconjunct.

AN ALLEGORY

In my post on Barack Obama I quoted from the astrological Allegory that I have on my wall. I have had requests to show it in full, so here it is. The capitalisation and grammar remains as shown in my copy-

ALLEGORY

And it was morning as God stood before his twelve Children, and into each of them planted the seed of human life. One by one each child stepped forward to receive his or her appointed gift......

To you Aries - I give my seed first that you might have the honor of planting it. That for every seed you plant one million more will multiply in your hand. You will not have time to see the seed grow, for everything you plant creates more that must be planted. You will be the first to penetrate the soil of men's minds with My Idea. But it is not your job to nourish the Idea, nor to question it. Your life is action, and the only action I ascribe to you is to begin making men aware of My Creation. For your good work I give you the virtue of Self-Esteem.
... Quietly, Aries stepped back into place.

To you Taurus - I give the power to build the seed into substance. Your job is a great one requiring patience, for you must finish all that has been started, or the seeds will be wasted to the wind. You are not to question nor change your mind in the middle, nor to depend on others for what I ask you to do. For this I give you the gift of Strength. Use it wisely.
... And Taurus stepped back into place.

To you Gemini - I give the questions without the answers, so that you may bring to all an understanding of what people see around them. You will never know why people speak or listen, but in your quest for the answer you will find my gift of Knowledge.
... And Gemini stepped back into place.

To you Cancer - I scribe the task of teaching people about emotion. My Idea is for you to cause them laughter and tears so that all they see and think develops fullness from inside.
For this I give you the gift of Family, that your fullness may multiply.
... And Cancer stepped back into place.

To you Leo - I give the job of displaying my Creation in all its brilliance to the world. But you must be careful of pride and always remember that it is My Creation, not yours. For if you forget this, people will scorn you. There is much joy in the job I give you if you but do it well. For this you are to have the gift of Honour.
... And Leo stepped back into place.

To you Virgo - I ask for an examination of all that humankind has done with my Creation. You are to scrutinize their ways sharply and remind them of their errors, so that through them my Creation may be perfected. For doing this I give you the gift of Purity of Thought.
... And Virgo stepped back into place.

To you Libra - I give the mission of service, that man may be mindful of his duties to others. That he may learn cooperation, as well as the ability to reflect the other side of his actions. I will put you everywhere there is discord, and for your efforts I will give you the gift of Love.
... And Libra stepped back into place.

To you Scorpio - I give a very difficult task. You will have the ability to know the minds of men, but I do not permit you to speak about what you learn. Many times you will be pained by what you see, and in your pain you will turn away from Me and forget that it is not I, but the perversion of My Idea, that is causing your pain. You will see much of man that you will come to know him as animal, and will wrestle so much with his animal instincts in yourself that you will lose your way; but when you finally come back to me, Scorpio, I have for you the supreme gift of Purpose.
... And Scorpio stepped back into place.

Sagittarius - I ask that you make people laugh, for amidst their misunderstanding of My Idea they become bitter. Through laughter you are to give man hope, and through hope turn his eyes back to Me. You will touch many lives if but only for a moment, and you will know the restlessness in every life you touch. To you Sagittarius I give the gift of Infinite Abundance, that you may spread wide enough to reach into every corner of darkness and bring it light.
... And Sagittarius stepped back into place.

Of you Capricorn - I ask the toil of your brow, that you might teach men to work. Your task is not an easy one, for you will feel all of man's labors on your shoulders; but for the yoke of your burdens I put the Responsibility of man in your hands.
... And Capricorn stepped back into place.

To you Aquarius - I give the concept of future that man might see other possibilities. You will have the pain of loneliness, for I do not allow you to personalize My Love. But for turning man's eyes to new possibilities I give you the gift of Freedom, that in your liberty you may continue to serve mankind wherever he needs you.
... And Aquarius stepped back into place.

To you Pisces - I give the most difficult task of all. I ask you to collect all of man's sorrow and return it to me. Your tears are to be ultimately my tears. The sorrow you will absorb is the effect of man's misunderstanding My Idea, but you are to give him compassion that he may try again. For this, the most difficult task of all, I give you the greatest gift of all. You will be the only one of my twelve children to understand me. But this gift of Understanding is for you, Pisces, for when you try to spread it to man he will not listen.
... And Pisces stepped back into place.

Then God said, "You each have part of My Idea. You must not mistake that part for all of My Idea, nor may you desire to trade parts with each other. For each one of you is perfect, but you will not know that until all twelve of you are ONE. For then the whole of My Idea will be revealed to each of you."

And the Children left, each determined to do his job best that he might receive his gift. But none fully understood their task or gift, and when they returned, puzzled, God said...

"You each believe that the other gifts are better. Therefore, I will allow you to trade."

And for the moment each Child was elated as he considered all the possibilities of his new mission. But God smiled as he said...

"You will return to Me many times asking to be relieved of your mission, and each time I will grant you your wish. You will go through countless incarnations before you complete the original mission I have prescribed to you. I give you countless time in which to do it, but only when it is done, can you be with Me."

THERE IS A GOD!

Some of you may have read that in my previous incarnation I was a 'trolley dolley'. The PC term is Flight Attendant and before anyone thinks it, yes, I agree, it is not the most academic pursuit (by the way that's called defensive posturing) however, with Uranus in the 10th, Mars in the 9th and Venus in Sagittarius I was never going to hold down a 9-5 office job. I saw the World and, for over ten years of my life, I loved it

We often landed in pretty awful conditions (yes the crew too but I'm talking about the weather!) and I've certainly known some breezy moments and breath-holding landings but when I saw this video on the news tonight, I knew, without any doubt, there is a God. I was even 'moved' enough to make one of my first ever comments in the video comments section on You Tube. What was the controller doing allowing this aircraft to approach in what are reported to have been 150 mile an hour winds. Off with his/her head!

After the truly incredible near miss of the perimeter fence at London Heathrow of BA Flight 038 earlier this year, the fact that this plane, its passengers and crew survived intact is - take it from an old pro - a miracle.

Thank the Lord, sack that controller and give the pilots a medal. I hope they turn their eyes skyward and feel the full force of the transformational Mars/Pluto opposition because tonight, along with all the passengers and crew onboard that aircraft, they really are the luckiest people alive.
