So, as of writing, none of the geophysical events forecast to occur around the time of the mutable cross Full Moon came to pass. However don't be too quick to dismiss the power of astrology to correctly pinpoint the timing of major events because a few days ago a story came to light which is fast gaining 'legs'.The Full Moon occurred in the signs of Gemini/Sagittarius which correlates (amongst other things) to communications (Gemini) and Space (Sagittarius) and had a Mars/Uranus square which I mentioned in previous posts as being linked to recent power outages. Now we hear of a huge hole appearing in the Earth's magnetic shield, which is so large that it threatens to wipe out all communications, such as Television, GPS, the Internet, in 2012. This is the year when the present Sunspot cycle reaches its peak.
So, whilst we were all looking at the portents of the full Moon and focusing on an event occurring on Earth, the main event was actually occurring to Earth.
Since 1997, there has been a growing trend (I'm a master of understatement!) towards moving all types of businesses, business records and transactions online. Just stop and think for one moment about how reliant we have become, in such a short space of time, on our little boxes - whether that be our mobile phone, our Blackberry, our Television, or our laptop. Think about how many people use Internet Banking; Internet shopping; store their photos online; fill in their tax return online etc., etc. Think of the billions of pounds, dollars and other currencies being moved about wirelessly each day.
Most people feel comfortable enough with the reliability of the technology to have almost entirely dispensed with keeping hard copies of anything important, believing that the Internet is the future and entirely safe. Hmmm, well all I can say is that the phrase 'safe as houses' springs to mind.
People have seen their investments in the property market wiped out overnight. Many homeowners will never recoup the money they paid for their house. Can you imagine if the Internet was wiped out just what would occur if adequate hard copy back ups of important documents had not been retained by you - or by some companies you deal with. How would you prove that you had money in an Internet bank? Who would you call - how would you find out who to call and how would you make that call if all systems were down?
Forget incoming asteroids, the panic from a complete wipe out of all satellite, navigation and Internet facilities would be 'the end times' and here's a guy, not just any guy but a Professor of Physics, forecasting exactly that........
I'm no doomsday merchant but this resonates strongly with me. We (and by that I mean astrologers and metaphysicans in particular) have known for years that we are building up to something cataclysmic in 2012, we are just not quite sure what. With Uranus in Aries, the symbolism points to power shortages, blackouts etc as almost inevitable, but an entire wipe out of communications systems and power grids? Yes it has to be a possibility. Something huge has to occur to shake us all awake and bring us back to a realisation of how far away from nature we have strayed and how little respect we have for our planet and nature's forces. The one thing that has died a death between 1997 and now, is the personal touch. Everything is done or managed by computers and we are losing our ability to be truly connected at the physical level. Something like a crash of technological systems would ensure we had to physically reconnect and come out of our heads. Many people can go for days without shaking hands or touching anyone,we don't even put money in people's hands anymore we just put a plastic card into a receptacle or tap in some numbers online.
Interestingly the planet Uranus correlates to all forms of electricity and the magnetosphere and the sign Aries corresponds to the symbolism of power and attacks. Uranus moves into Aries for good, finally moving forward from 0 Aries in ....2012!
Furthermore, until that date, whilst Uranus completes its sojourn in the sign of Pisces we have been hearing (or I have) more and more about the work of Nikola Tesla and investigations into plasma fields - plasma correlates to Pisces.
Nikola Tesla was the 'Father' of electricity and was the first to postulate that we live in an 'Electric environment or Universe'. Continuing with the theme of Saturn in opposition to Uranus it is interesting to see that a certain sector of the scientific community (Sa) are suddenly getting more support to advance this theory, which is threatening a paradigm shift (Ur) in the world of physics.
As I said, Uranus in the sign of Pisces links electricity with plasma - and plasma, as anyone with an interest in esoteric matters will know, is really just the technical name for the ethers - that substance through which we transmit and receive all thought impressions and which links us all as 'one'.
I first heard about Nikola Tesla not at school but from astrologer, Linda Goodman. In her book Star Signs I was riveted when she wrote that she thought Tesla was an extraordinary man and went on to explain that he had experimented with harnessing the Earth's magnetic field, to provide fuel and energy in a safe and efficient way. His experiments had taken place in Colorado Springs near to where Linda was living at that time.
In her book Linda recounts the story she was told about how industrialist and financier J.P. Morgan suddenly withdrew his backing after it emerged that Tesla had found a way in which, with just a small antennae in their garden, people would be able to pull in all the power, and all the electrical energy they would ever need for anything - for free. Morgan with an eye for profits, didn't want anyone to get anything free and is quoted a saying:
"If anyone can draw on the power, where do we put the meter?"!
Linda also wrote about how far ahead of his time this man Tesla was. So much so that others regarded him as slightly mad and 'not of this earth'. He wasn't just a pioneer, he was a visionary and changed the face of life on Earth.
"Were we to seize and eliminate from our industrial world the result of Mr. Tesla's work, the wheels of industry would cease to turn, our electric cars and trains would stop, our towns would be dark and our mills would be idle and dead" - Vice President of the Institute of Electrical Engineers
There were also (according to Linda) rumours that the Tesla Coil, used in Kirlian Photography to capture the human aura, also has properties which can prolong life and heal bones and regenerate bone marrow but many of the papers of Tesla's inventions, and their uses, were seized immediately after his death as he was considered to be dabbling in things so far outside of people's comprehension that it was not safe to make them public. Well that's one theory, others lean more to a conspiracy but, whatever the truth his findings are making their way back into our consciousness now.

It's certainly all food for thought and fascinating stuff. To some this post may seem slightly disjointed but I sense a big connection between what Physicists are discovering about the magnetosphere and the sudden influx of information I have been receiving about Tesla. I'm not quite sure where all this is leading but with Pluto in Capricorn and the upcoming cycles of Uranus it sure looks like we are going to have to rethink our views about the way we have perceived our reality to date.
Capricorn is also about tradition and physical and practical things, so it may be good advice to revert to backing up all your data with hard, physical copy between now and 2012!
