Is it possible for astrology to give us any indication of which airlines could be most at risk of terrorism? As an astrologer with a background in the aviation industry, this is a question that I have been pondering ever since the Lockerbie tragedy (21 Dec 1988 19:02:46.Lockerbie, Scotland) The conclusion that I arrived at some years ago is that it is nigh on impossible to wade through all of the charts of each of the airlines BUT the charts
(natal, progressed etc) of the first ever commercial airline flight (2 May 1952. 15.12, Heathrow (Hayes) has proved to be quite responsive to events which affect the airline industry as a whole - especially as it is a timed chart.
Also the charts of the opening of Heathrow (London) Airport (1 Jan 1946 and 31 May 1946, Heathrow (Hayes) use noon) are good bellwethers as, in the event of some major occurrence anywhere on the globe involving an airliner, this major international hub is often affected.
Being British, and as my preferred airline, I also use the chart of British Airways. (31 Mar 1974, Heathrow, use noon)
The problem we have in accurately assessing periods where 'events' have an increased chance of occurring is that we are somewhat hindered by the times we are living through. By this I mean that, when times were good, bad aspects often indicated a time when an actual aircraft could meet difficulties, now it may refer to the airline as a business, as many airlines are struggling to stay financially aloft!
In the chart of British Airways for example, the current aspects are pretty dire. Saturn is stationing within one degree of its natal Pluto and right on its progressed Pluto which speaks loudly of the cut backs, paring down and its battle for survival, It also flags up the transformation (Pluto) of the basic structure (Saturn) of the organisation that is needed.
Last month when the strike was announced, but before it was repealed, the retrogradation of Mercury and Mars pointed to grounding of the airline over Christmas. As it turned out adverse weather and the terrorism incident (and not the - postponed - strike) is what brought the chaos and a slow down to the airline. This highlights the difficulties of pinpointing the detail.
It should be said though that often (although this may sound a bit woo-woo to some) when a company as a whole has suppressed tension of anger in its ranks (as BA does now over the strike issue) this tension becomes in danger of 'exploding' (Pluto) outwards in the public domain. This puts BA (as it has the current Saturn/Pluto influence) at slightly greater potential risk of accidents or nefarious deeds and villainous plots against it - in much the same way as an angry person is more likely to 'attract' a bout of road rage or a car accident.
(Note: The national airline also shows up as Uranus in the Nation's 1066AD chart)
In 1988 though, when BA was in good shape, the Lockerbie bombing occurred (on a much overlooked tr SA/PL septile). At this time the progressed chart of BA showed a Mercury/Pluto opposition at 4 Libra/Aries (the position of Saturn now). The Lockerbie bomb was a Pan-Am flight but the incident changed the face of air travel so this 4 (and 5) Libra/Aries point is a 'hot' one for BA.
Mars had progressed to 4 Cancer at September 11th 2001, (when there was a tr SA/Pl opp) so Mars precisely squared this point and Pluto. We can therefore deduce that extra problems may be heaped upon this airline through to February and again right through to 2011 while the tr SA/Pl square persists in moving across the 4/5 Libra point and Pluto hovers back and forth square to BA's natal Pluto.
15 degrees Taurus, where BA's Progressed Sun is now, is 45 degrees (semisquare) from the world point of 0 Aries. It remains here until the end of September 2010 but Pr Mars moves to exactly square BA's natal Sun at the same time (pr Mars at 10 Cancer, natal Sun at 10 Aries). This is volatile.
Before that though, on 31st Dec (and persisting into January) we have a Lunar eclipse at 10 Cancer. This is incredibly ominous for Heathrow (Sun at 10 Cap) and for our flag carrier (Sun 10 Aries) and just in case the coming transits are not related to its financial predicament, extra care should be taken around security of the airline's fleet and base.
In May the movement of Uranus to 0 Aries triggers BA's pr Sun at 15 Taurus. Back in Jan 2008 I forecast a complete loss of power for BA connected (through the law of correspondence) in some way to China. I based this solely on the loss of engine power to a BA aircraft on an inbound flight from Beijing. BA has indeed dramatically lost power since then but, in exactly what way China could affect the fortunes of this airline I just don't know (unless the diplomatic incident over the execution of a British national in China today escalates) but the likelihood is from some financial issue (Venus) arising or getting worse, between now and May 2010. The presence of Jupiter and Saturn across the ASC/DESC axis on the exact day of the Uranus transition, plus the Venus conjunct Uranus aspect speaks of some huge aviation story that week - perhaps to do with space flight or, worst case huge (Jupiter) loss (Saturn) or a large airline going into administration.

Reverting back to the other charts - and our attempt to locate 'terrorism windows' - rather than lead you through the minutiae of the chart data (and maps) I will just list dates in January and locations where and when extra attention should perhaps be given.

Suffice to say, we are not out of the woods with respect to administration or terrorism threats yet. My gut instinct is that airports may even have to be moved well away from densely populated areas in the future.
In astrology the substance used to attempt to blow up planes (in 2001 and 2009), PETN, would fall as a Neptune/Pluto correspondence. Neptune was septile Pluto on Xmas day 2009 and 22 Dec 2001!
