Prof Brian Cox validates the mechanism of astrology

Wave/Particle Duality

For millennia astrologers, mystics and a great number of philosophers and eastern religions have been aware that there is an interconnectivity - a unity, a oneness - underlying all known creation.

Since antiquity they have referred to this unity as 'The All' or 'The All that is':

Now physicists seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet as metaphysics* and science and spirituality are coming into closer alignment. It's not that the two ( i.e. modern science and ancient doctrines) are only just coming together in the 21st century, for physicists have known since the advent of the 'double slit experiment' in the early 1800's that the act of observation affects the behaviour of atomic particles. This led them to the conclusion that there must be some form of underlying unification between man and matter and saw a redoubling of efforts to understand the nature of consciousness in this mix. It is interesting to note that the ancient wisdom teachings have passed along the knowledge that there is:

One principle of consciousness permeating the entire universe, occupying all space and being essentially the same kind at every level. That is The All.

So when referring to the initial double split experiment it is perhaps fair to say that physicists had encountered consciousness but didn't yet realize it.

In case you are unaware of this experiment, in essence it was the one from which physicists deduced that subatomic particles exist in a state of infinite possibility - which we might term an ocean of waves of consciousness. Until the waveform is collapsed via observation it exists everywhere and nowhere at once. As we and the observable universe are comprised of particles from this ocean of wave/particle duality it is clear we are part of consciousness in motion, separate but connected - like individual waves are inseparable from the sea.

An alternative metaphor about the nature of reality is that everything (from the macrocosmic scale of galaxies right down to each person or animal or 'thing' ) is like individual vortexes in a river.  Each vortex is separate but cannot ever be removed from the river because it is formed from the river itself.

So quantum physics divulged that we appear to be part of some gargantuan ocean/matrix/net/fabric or web (use whatever image you prefer) of interconnectedness where everything affects what happens to everything else and all possibilities exist. Essentially this supports the theory mentioned in the videos I linked to in my last post, entitled The Holographic Universe. The consciousness model within those films suggests that not only are we thinkers but at some level we are also being thought!

That we have total freewill is therefore part of the illusion we call life. We can only collaborate with it from a place of 'observing our observer' for ultimately ...

Mind has erected the objective outside world … out of its own stuff - Schrodinger

Wise astrologers have always understood that we exist in an ocean of Mind (aka consciousness) and the way that Mind interacts with us - and us with it - can be determined by looking at the moment we appeared in it rising out of the waters of our mothers womb into form. The received wisdom is therefore that each baby has a birth chart which charts a separate ripple in the fabric of time and helps discern its nature.

It may not be that the planets in our external world are directly affecting us but as they move and weave a pattern of cycles it's clear to astrologers that anyone can discover themselves responding with, and moving in, similar cycles on the internal plane too. In other words there is a hidden underlying order (read mathematically/geometrically) which can be made obvious to those with the eyes to see - those who know how to note correspondence. We know the planets and heavenly bodies each have their own atomic structure and as we are all formed from the same 'stuff' these must be mirrored in us at some level.

Don't take my word for it though, I'm a metaphysician and came at this understanding after decades of study of ancient wisdom teachings but the particle physicist turned showman, luvvie and vitriolic astrology basher, Professor Brian Cox, has confirmed this view and publicly admitted that the planets must indeed affect Man.

Talking in a televised address from the lecture hall at the Royal Institute of Great Britain, re-aired on TV this week, Professor Cox explained an unbreakable law of nature used by quantum physicists known as Pauli's Exclusion Principle. This principle refers to the activity and arrangement of electrons throughout the Universe.

Professor Cox said - and I quote:

"The Pauli Exclusion Principle applies to EVERY electron in the Universe - not just every electron in a single atom or a single molecule - and this leads to a bizarre conclusion that the particles that make up this diamond are in communication with particles everywhere, inside all of you and inside the atoms in the furthest corners of the Universe..."

What that comment means is that as Pauli's Principle holds true for every electron everywhere then the electrons in the atoms in any planet or any heavenly body must be in communication with those in us. Yep, he confirmed it again:

'the subatomic building blocks of our bodies are constantly shifting in response to events occurring at the edge of the universe' - Cox

This correlation is the basic principle of astrology as seen in the famous hermetic axiom - As above, So Below, As within, So Without (paraphrased).

This axiom comes from an ancient doctrine also known as the Law of Correspondence. This law asserts that all matter in the universe will resonate to (or shift in response to movement of) matter of a like nature ( i.e similar energy nature) and this is inseparable from the subject of harmonics, which is essentially the study of wave motion. Deep in the core of the apparently rigid structure of our bodies we are vibrational beings. Every atom is constantly in motion, motion has energy which is vibration and vibration creates sound, therefore we are constantly sending out a signal but also resonating to signals in the world around us.

Just like individual players in a grand symphony orchestra, our personal 'instrument' has a particular quality and attunement. Think of a trumpet and a violin, they are separate, they look different but each one is fashioned out of a unique piece of metal or wood. When they are played their vibration will be received by the eardrum of the listener as a different sound quality even when playing the same note but they are both playing their individual part in the overall symphony that is one musical piece.

If you are an instrument though, who then is 'playing' you? And who is the 'listener'? Well again, we return to the original premise; there is no separation. You are player and listener i.e. consciousness seeking to know itself in a complex feedback loop.

The ancient teachings do say that 'Like and unlike are the same just different in degree' which is the concept of Yin/Yang - inseparable duality - too.

To return to Professor Cox's statements above, what this means is that if the electrons in the furthest corners of the Universe are affecting us, we must surely have the capacity to affect them. In other words if Cox says:

'the subatomic building blocks of our bodies are constantly shifting in response to events occurring at the edge of the universe'

He would also have to say:

'the subatomic building blocks of the Universe are constantly shifting in response to events occurring in our bodies'

I can just about accept that, en masse, as a collective consciousness we may have some hitherto hidden powers to effect a chain reaction such as a geophysical event or a starburst in space but with the best will in the world I cannot imagine we could change the orbits of planets or prevent the arrival of an eclipse!

That said, we are told by the quantum physicists that because of wave/particle duality the Universe is effectively illusory and that there is no out there, out there...

How something is, or what its state is, is an illusion. It may be a useful illusion for some purposes, but if we want to think fundamentally we must not lose sight of the essential fact that it is an illusion - Quantum Cosmologist Lee Smolin
and

The universe does not exist, out there,‘ independent of all acts of observation. Instead, it is in some strange sense a participatory universe - John Wheeler, scientist colleague of Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr, mentor to many of today's leading physicists, and the man who chose the name 'Black hole'.

So, this takes us (me) right back to the videos I posted last week called The Holographic Universe.

Having spent the last week or so genning up on the latest scientific theories about the nature of our reality, I'm left having to seriously contemplate the fact that some sadistic part of my personal vortex of consciousness caused the irritating, adolescent-like, Professor Brian Cox to pop up on my television screen solely so I could know that pompous, adolescent part of myself!

The 'consciousness model' put forward in The Holographic Universe videos - and by many learned men of science - suggests that this same consciousness which materialised Professor Cox into my reality has also caused me to write this blog and bring all of you who are reading this, and the computer I am writing it on, into being. In other words I am in - and we all are in - our own personal 3D total immersion movie (i.e. a holographic reality) bringing everything we encounter into existence simply so that we can come to know ourselves. You don't exist independent of me.

This would also mean that when Mars, Mercury and Neptune are in the mathematically derived division of the 360 circle of the ecliptic we call Pisces and I keep encountering media reports about the Health Service or people throwing shoes at Iran's President, or stories about a fish apocalypse - plus references in my everyday world to subjects such as illusory worlds; lucid dreaming; those spending time dealing with confusion; deceit; nebulousness; chaos; compassion; fantasy; music; drink; drugs; romance etc (not all at the same time I might add) it is solely because it fits my belief that I will encounter things of this nature at this time. This in turn would be due to my belief in astrology and what I believe Mars, Mercury and Neptune in the sign of Pisces implies - a belief system which you may or may not share but I scripted you into 'my movie' to agree or disagree anyway!

We have to remember that what we observe is not nature in itself, but nature exposed to our method of questioning - Heisenberg

So as it was the very esteemed quantum physicist Werner Heisenberg who said the above, one can only extrapolate that this gives credence to the metaphysical tenet 'Whatever you look for you will find'

In other words - and to make this very clear - I found what I expected. Our external world is all an illusory construct and we affect the illusion with our individual internal belief systems about what we are going to see. As within, So without.

Gosh my brain hurts. Does yours? If you are out there (and quantum physics says you aren't!) I'm going to script you into my movie again next week and invite you back to this page as I intend to have discovered more about what all this means. Then I can at least try to pretend I am helping you to collaborate with your fate - and in doing so I can come to know myself better! (wink)
